People need to compare the white enslavement of black people to the Trans Saharan slave trade done by Arabs to people of same West African heritage. I realize that I'm privileged to make this opinion, yes I'm privileged to be neutral as a Nigerian girl who doesn't have ex-slave ancestry. I was pained reading Roots and other documents about the Trans Atlantic slave trade: still pained though. However, the Arabs don't love us either. Islam hasn't helped the parts of Nigeria were it's prevalent, Islam came into Northern Nigeria through Jihad(religious war and killing any "unbelievers". So, the idea that Christianity is oppresive or the religion of oppressors as opposed to Islam is very ludicrous to me. Muslims in Nigeria oppress and kill others with no consequences, I'm not talking about 400 years ago anymore, I'm talking 2022. I still understand Malcolm X was looking for a violent response to the violence he faced from the KKK

I grew up in a Hispanic household born to Mexican parents. I remember reading about him when I checked out library book. An english teacher passed by and asked why I was reading about a black racist he hated everybody. I asked my parents if he was a racist my mother replied " He was very proud of his people and his ethnicity and he was not going go apologize for out. He and his people went through very many bad situations. We have no right to criticize him because we have not walked in his shoes". Then handed a tortilla with refried beans.
