CANON PRO 1000 You have a paper size mismatch!

Hi, I hava a pro-1000. I have some problem with paper sizes. I can create one in Professional Print & Layout, but I can't find where to create it, to be selectable in printer's menu. Is there a way for that for Pro-1000? Oh. I use mac, but I can reach the printer from windows too if that's needed.

Thank you for this video, that was exactly the question I had. I bought a few 4x6 of different types of paper to sample and test how my shots would look on that paper before I print big and I was having an issue with this mismatch - until I chose the "KG/4x6" option in the printer itself, with the corresponding paper type (Luster, Glossy, etc etc).

Now my question is, you say NOT to print 4x6 on this printer - which I see the point about wasting ink - but how are you suggesting we make test prints before we print? You mentioned getting a smaller printer just for printing 4x6? Are you saying there's no point at all in even testing your prints through 4x6 on this printer?

why would i use this printer for 4 by 6? because I dont have several printers for each size of paper

Just got a pro 1000 when i go to hit print is says there is no paper in rear tray, but there is and it gives me a error every single time , wont print ??? Usint 8.5 x 11 fine art smooth paper, manual feed and it wont take it.

How many gsm of glossy paper can it handle ?? Like 400gsm ??

I use the top feeder with Red River Palo Duro Soft Gloss Rag 16.5 mil paper (4x6, 8.5x11 and 17x22) with no issues on my Pro 1000, one paper at a time, including 4x6 prints with the same paper. I have also been printing with the Epson Exhibition fiber paper which is 13 mil thick for years with no issues from the top feeder. I always print one sheet at a time.

This just started happening to me and I only print 13x19 inch prints so I have no idea how it got changed but I've unchecked the mismatch paper box and I'm still getting the 1062 code.

You said that you don't know why anyone would print a 4x6 on this printer. So, before I print a 17x22 on expensive paper for the first time, I like to print a 4x6 to make sure the colors and exposure are correct in order not to waste the ink and paper. Do you know of a better way to test for first-time prints?

or go into Printer menu/various settings/device settings/paper related settings/detect paper setting mismatch/off.

hello, my printer says my paper size/type doesn’t match up with the printer settings , my setting say A4 plain paper and that’s what i have got in the printer, i’ve tried taking the paper out and putting a new load in a re loading it but it doesn’t work

glossy plus ii 4 x 6 canon paper shifts towards the end. the printer cant seem to hold it still. what should i do?

Hello Jose, Canon recently released a new firmware update for the Pro-1000 claiming that it can now print panoramas up to 17"x47". I just bought a 17" roll and attempted to print a 17"x36" panorama and it does not seem to cooperate, in fact if prints an image that is smaller than my print settings and only prints half the image. Maybe we can troubleshoot this one together?

when one wants to use the fine printer one has to print the seasonal greetings cards with the fabulous photo one took ;) and doesn´t have another printer capable of producing outstanding pictures, then one prints on the pro 1000 ;)

I know this might be a stupid question but you mentioned that every print wastes a bit or extra ink. Would you mind elaborating on that a bit? Thank you so much!

Hi Jose, what refillable ink would you recommend for a canon ts6360? ( i live in europe). Also i wanted to know if you had a specific image i could use to print once a week to avoid clogging that doesn't consume much color.

I had similar problem. Tried to print gift prints for the wedding client using Canon paper 4x6 pro platinum. It didn't work on Canon Pro 1000. I used this paper in top feeder. Contacted Canon but they didn't help. The paper is recommended for this printer but keeps jamming. I had no problem with A4 size Pro platinum. Also Canon 4x6 semi gloss works fine. I guess pro platinum is too stiff and it doesn't bend properly when it's a small size.

Thanks for that Jose. I have a similar problem. Trying to print 11x17 canvas from Lightroom to my pro-100. There isn’t a template for that size and I can’t seem to make a custom size. Any ideas?
