How to work a knitted-on cast-on (at the beginning or middle of your work)

I really like the camera angle and the speed you are showing the work. I hope you show a whole bunch of cast-on techniques and explain why certain types are better for certain types of design. I find cast on edge row is the ugliest thing. One thing I find the most beautiful is I cord cast on but the very first WS row right after the CO row is really hideous. In addition, ribbing doesn't seem to work with I-cord cast on. I love your tutorial. I was looking for tutorial videos by someone who talks slowly, clearly and to the point. Thank you so much for starting this.

How do you do this purlwise? I'm making your Ramona cardigan and I can't find a tutorial on this
