I love the documentary and the movie. Your video showed photos I’ve never seen before, so thank you.
ОтветитьDuring the filming of this, I FELL IN LOVE with them!❤
ОтветитьStill fascinated
ОтветитьNobody gonna talk about the beginning, how they saw ufo’s? Awesome 😎
ОтветитьWe owe a debt to the Bradlees for their loving restoration. Looks like an impossible task, to me!
ОтветитьWhat happened to all the cats??
ОтветитьThere can be so much that goes on behind closed doors and between family members. It seems disrespectful to pry into their privacy as though it should all be public knowledge. It is nice that the estate has been beautifully restored.
It has occurred to me that we need to pay attention to our neighbours, and to our own family members. As we age it is easy to slip into bad habits that lead to other bad habits, and before you know it, things have reached a point of no return, and become unmanageable. My neighbour, formerly a nurse in a retirement home, has said she would never want to have to live in a retirement home in her old age, and I think that with a little bit of regular attention and help, it is possible to remain in your own home.
Hard to find pity towards the grandiose.
ОтветитьI don’t know how I got on this channel but This story was Fascinating! 😄 I was invested throughout the entire video. Such amazing & peculiar women and I enjoyed every minute. So Here’s a follow!🔥
ОтветитьEdith Bouvier would of made John kennedy a very happy man compared Jackie O who was an introvert, boney and talentless, lol!🤣🤣sorry!
ОтветитьThis is my absolute favorite documentary. I love this mother daughter duo. I find them incredibly strong and think the Maysels did a brilliant job of just documenting, pure and simple.
ОтветитьEddie was amazing soul and her mother was horrible .She was controlling and Eddie did not warn let her go. She let go her unique qualitşes just to make her mom happy but mother was not amused with her daughter. I thşink them other was a big problem and EDDİE CARE FOR HER.
ОтветитьI hope after this movie came out ,Eddie found new connections through fans and ı hope she travelled with the move makers so on...
ОтветитьA lot has been said about "Big Edie" and "Little Edie" having mental health issues. am so very glad that neither one of them ever ended up being a patient in a mental institution or mental ward. Believe me, being a mental patient in those places can make you feel worse than you did before coming into those places.😮
ОтветитьBen Bradlee and Sally Quinn did such a beautiful job of restoring Grey Gardens to its former glory.
Ответитьsome of the pictures look weird asf it’s giving remini app💀
Ответитьi love little edie💖
ОтветитьSo glad that she sold it under the condition the house be saved, its beautiful!
ОтветитьBeauty certainly ran in this family
ОтветитьHave you seen the recent Fred Armisen/Bill Hader spoof of Grey Gardens? It's REALLY hilarious, as you would expect it to be. The original is still one of the most harrowing films ever.
ОтветитьInteresting ladies love the house i think the ladies couldnt cope in the end should of got a cleaner in
ОтветитьI’m not understanding, why not clean there home? Being too rich handicap them or something.
ОтветитьThey made their own choices with consequences.
ОтветитьI watched the grays gardens documentary, it was pretty raw, but informative , but Edie definitely was great even in her most worse living conditions. Really sad reality.
ОтветитьI'm surprised that Little Edie didn't scoop up a rich husband back when she was young and hot.
She WAS crazy hot... Just like her cousin JackieO.
Must have been an emphasis on the Crazy.
Alls I know is that lots of young dudes missed a huge opportunity back in 1950.

"And I tell you, if there's anything worse than a staunch woman...
S.T.A.U.N.C.H.
... There's nothing worse, I'm telling you".
😊😅😅
🇺🇲
Little eddy was so beautiful.
ОтветитьWow. The remodel is so beautiful! So nice to see what it looked like in its heyday
ОтветитьWatched the documentary it was great !!!
ОтветитьThe daughter's accent is very confusing. She sounds Australian at times 🤔
ОтветитьLoved the musical with Christine Ebersole. Heartbreaking song, “Another Winter In A Summer Town,” where little Eddie is trying to break free but gets sucked back in by her mother.
ОтветитьDid this inspire Shirley Jackson to anyone’s knowledge? Looks like one of her stories come to life.
Ответить.. 🤔 ,, they "imported walls from Spain" ..
..,, (?) .. why ...
Very poignant and relevant comment at end..how do we take care of our own..a thought to ponder.
ОтветитьSo , once they got cut off from the free money , they would rather live like that than get a job? Pretty regular people I guess
ОтветитьLittle Edie 100% had Autism, as well as other mental health issues. That’s what “eccentricity” was at that time. Her mother definitely was a grandiose narcissist as well. The documentary and movie made them look like they had an empath/ Narc codependent relationship. Not to mention they both probably had a couple nervous breakdowns with all of that hoarding going on. Very toxic, complicated relationship.
ОтветитьYou said little Edie was born in NYC but seconds later say she moved to NYC to pursue a career
Which is it?
It's crazy how good Jinkx Monsoon's impression was 😮
ОтветитьHi Jerry!
ОтветитьIf you haven't seen the Documentary Now version, it's hilarious. The real story is very sad though.
ОтветитьHonorable Princess Katerra avatar

This was better than the documentary & movie . Thank you!
ОтветитьI feel like this is what saltburn was based on lol…. And who it was about
ОтветитьCooooool… 🙄 so another super rich out of touch mentally unwell family. This is my shocked face 🥸
ОтветитьGummo Gardens
ОтветитьIve seen grey gardens doc.many times and i think it is perfect just as it is. The honesty and atraightforwardness of these two women is what made it special to watch.❤😊😊😊
ОтветитьShe was gorgeous
ОтветитьHow did they get rid of the cat smell???
Ответить
