HP Movie Logic: Ron and Hermione are an old married couple, while Harry and Hermione are a happily married couple.

It's hard to recall because it has been a few years since I've both read the books and watched the movies but I definitely felt like Hermione and Harry had more chemistry in the movies than in the books.

In the book they used the polyjuice potion

Some people wish these two ended up together as a couple in the end, but I think their friendship is just as beautiful as it would have been if it was romantic. They weren't partners, but companions who lived similar lives and suffered similar pain. Their relationship didn't need to bridge those boundaries, it was so deep and rich in love already. Hermione and Harry were the siblings for each other that they never had.

Scenes like this were most likely why ABC Family (Freeform) included the Harry Potter movies in their Christmas lineup back in the day.

It would be nice if AMC includes all 8 movies in their Christmas lineup someday.

This scene is sad for Harry, but we forget that Hermione wiped herself from her parents’ memory and she is essentially also an orphan just like Harry, fully accepting that she may never see them again. So grateful that JK Rowling confirmed that she restored their memories after the battle.

Harry’s parents both died at 21, and Hogwarts students start learning at 11.

That means James and Lily were already closer to their deaths than to their births when they started going to school
