Everybody talks about Christoph Waltz, well he is brilliant, but August Diehl as the "Nazi Major" is from out of this world, absolutely unattainable

So Germany has a large variety of accents and dialects,........but every single fucking German, without exception, uses thumb, fore finger and middle finger to signal the number "three"? Somehow, I'm not buying it. Especially considering how many Volksdeutsche grew up in foreign countries but went back to Germany at the start of WWII.

When I say 3 I've always used my thumb, index, and middle finger for as long as I can remember. When he said three glasses I said, uh oh he's fucked. My girlfriend had no idea what I was talking about.

This scene is hilarious because Michael Fassbender (the actor playing the British Lieutenant Archie Hicox) is actually German. 😄

I think he gave his cover on purpose becuase he knew it was already obvious

Fassbender is so great here, the look on his face when he realized he wasn't getting out alive was amazing! Great scene all around

Appreciate the detail that was a dead give away. Germans and English count their fingers quite differently. One for German is when you use your thumb. When you use 3, your thumb, index and middle finger is up it's funny my left hand is well coordinated to do three in German, but my right hand just can't. It can barely do the English 3 easily. I have to use my thumb to hold down my pinky. 😂😂
