I think Dr Oz is pretty insensitive to leave Villi in so much silence after asking him to describe Mary's final day. All for ratings. I hated this for Villi😢

This is extremely difficult to listen to.

This poor man had such a huge trauma bond with his rapist. He had so much trauma and loss in his life that he was attached to her even after died. So sad. I’m sorry for villie. He needs some intensive therapy to fully understand what he actually went through.

With this, I hope he can begin to heal and take back all those years stolen from him.

I think he really loved her with truthfulness and felt alone in this, i think the loneliness of her let her to drink too much , and they might need more support than they got , and more understanding less condemning as the years went by..

Despite this couple's sucessful relationship in the end, she still should never have responded nor pursued him when he was but a child.

I really feel for this guy 😢 I still think she stole his childhood and his life. He seems to be such a decent person. I hope he finally can live his life 😕

Seeing that she served such a Short sentence initially and was told to stay away then proceeded still to see him again after her sentence- I’m not really sure how she wasn’t seen as a threat to society and kept in longer but alas everything happens for a reason I’m just happy he has moved on to someone age appropriate and living his life.

My heart really goes out to Villi. It seems like he has been very brainwashed.. with him still thinking that she was the only one who cared for him. I daresay it would have become near impossible for those who loved him (family members etc) to have remained emotionally (or even physically) close to him because it seemed that Mary Kay's entire existence depended on him and she therefore would have gone to great extremes to ensure he was as equally reliant on her as humanly possible. As hard as a transition this is for Villi.. I really believe with the love of his children, family and friends.. and probably a really insightful therapist.. he can move on to the next stage of his life and it can be one filled with freedom, equal love and having his boundaries respected and validated.

Knowing his perspective on things, I can only say that life is complicated and whatever societal norms there are, one should always approach anyone with a different circumstance with empathy and kindness.
