It'd be cool if the GB emulator let you use the top connector as a link cable, so if you're playing Pokémon, you could physically connect your VMUP to your friends to trade Pokémon.

It'd be cool if you could pair a BT controller or have the USB-C do video out to a TV...

get them to release more iblueretro controller ports for the dreamcast. the battery on the dreamcast doesn't charge. :(
I have a dreamcast only because of corana virus. got another one to put the mode in. the GDemu is a good choice to. mode and GDemu allow you to put the cd tray back. just in case.
That soldering job one's for other consoles looks dumb. Don't have that kind of tools. just someone sitting at home.

I don't have, and will likely never have a Dreamcast but owning this as a Y2K-coded wireless MP3 player that can also play a couple of games would be so sick.

Any word on this being emulator compatible?

I would like to see them to put the vmu mini games in color if possible. They could do like the gameboy color did with the gameboy games. I know it would still be pixelated games but adding color would be nice to see. Even if they had to make a program that could change the vmu mini games into color would be a great addition.

Neat. But who really wants to play games on such a tiny screen? Very few people are still playing Dreamcast to the point they need many of the capabilities listed. Apps and accessories for the VMU? Why? Wireless transfer to other VMU pros? Again, it’s neat, but really seems unnecessary. $100 as well

That memcard pro web interface needs to include an easy way to delete all the additional cards I accidentally make when I push the button on the device. Also a way to take files that were from another memory card and distribute them into their respective GameID cards.

I so badly wanted to make one of these, but I gave up around learning about the controller connector and realizing I'd need some sort of high speed multiplexer or something to make it work with any development boards I was familiar with. Guess there doesn't just need to be one on the market. Mow which to make, a ps2 memory card, a VMU emu, or a pocketstation emu? Personally I want to make a pocketstation, even if it's a bit less utilized than the VMU 😂
Maybe I make a pocketstation that can also emulate PS1, might be expensive at that size though!

Cool, the VMU is king but the New 3DS XL or LL with the 3D depth slider at the maximum setting is even more king.

Do the caps/covers fit on original SEGA VMUs? If so they should sell just those so people can replace them on their original VMUs. Also a mic feature as others have suggested.

I don't see how game ID isn't supported 100% no matter what you use. The VMU always knows what game you're playing. Always. That's how the Dreamcast works. How could Game ID be less than 100%?

I really like this and it hurts me to say this but the one for game cube I got a couple of months ago is complete garbage. I tried updating it it won't update at all it will not communicate with pico boot at all. It will crash my console if I turn it on while plugged it. If I launch a game with i not plugged in then plug it in after my game starts it will freeze. I 100% regret buying it even though I want it to work so bad.

Man, just think if Microsoft made the Zune a Memory card and display for the Xbox controllers!

It would be hilarious one day if someone makes a VMU that can play Dreamcast games.
If you gutted the controller, there would be room for a system that can play Dreamcast games, and then play it on the VMU screen while its inserted.

I just want to mention a fun fact I stumbled upon recently.
Tri-Ace made an "offline" Phantasy Star game on the PS Vita. In it, Lutina, a side character you meet from the start, has a VMU as an accessory. X )
