What people don’t understand about that Mercedes is that the Lexus LS400 came out with the V8. Porsche was struggling with money but they had a engineering department. This Mercedes with the V8 and what they wanted to do to it would not fit in their production line.

Mercedes hired Porsche to engineer the car to fit the v8 and there was lots of work to do and they cut No corners. The Porsche engineering department was just down the street so Mercedes sent them the body’s and they went to work. This is one of the greatest Mercedes/sedan ever built
