TBH A bunch of skeletons or knights attacking me feels way harder than a boss

I’ve tried over 50 attempts over 3 days, never played a souls game before, I hope mergits shackle gets me the dub in the next 10 attempts or I’m putting this game down lol

I don’t think I’m built for this game 😔

I got lost in open world so by the time I got to him I was level 35 with bloodhound fang and +2 and godrich ashes at +2 and it became an easy fight

But I earned an over leveled easy fight after being under levels vs tree sentinel and night cavalry and bloodhound knight and academy dragon and leonine begotten and etc

Bruh I almost had this dude so many times then I saw a video and learnt I can use summons and the shackle thing…

I've tried this boss over 200 times and cant beat him ever

i killed him

this boss makes me want to end my life

Patches is like gone forever on mine and it's called catacombs on my map

As a mage, this was quite easy I must say. Rennala was the real nightmare for me.

that best tip is be overleveled asf

Margit is a slow piece of fudgelot chocolate and he comes back for some reason and i hate him cuz of the slow attacks...i can't dodge perfectly when im used to fast attacks 😢

ah and here I am trying to fight him at level 7 just out of the tutorial dungeon. Got him down to about half a few times, but this boss has been curb stomping me for hours.

Whats the best level to fight him?

I'm level 36 right now and still haven't beat him, even doing all the things. Been beating my head against this brick wall for about 3 hours today, and probably another 4 hours on two other days. I remember now why I ragequit this game a year ago.

I’ve played other souls games and this guy just feels stupid tbh I feel like he’s way to good when ur trying to learn how to play the game abd the summoning of the sorcerer just feels like a dumb bonus which cheapens the game by giving you a free win

Just came to check how to beat this guy after beating him for the first time. Had no idea about the shackles or summons stuff. I leveled up my strength stat to like 18 dex 14 and vital to maybe 20 and I finally got him. Used a longsword from the first part of the game as is, double fisted and just patiently pattern-bonked him to death. I’d say about 100 tries over 3 days

Got told this game was easy to play now I’m sat here doing this and I want off myself

Welp, i already killed patches and had no idea he was surrendering 😂

Best way to beat him: use the summon before the boss and let the boss target him, when he does go behind him and spam untill he gets down, keep doing that untill u kill him

My god his first phase is easy but his second phase is untouchable its like infinitely cicling strikes i can’t get in

I beat him with a great sword solo and had atleast half the heath the guy in this video had I didn’t know there was an easier way. I spent hours but I did it bro.

I’ve been playing this game for some time and it is definitely not a 10/10. More like a 4 or 5 out of 10

Too much bulshit for no reason

I JUST started the game, no upgrades and Surprisingly enough after around a painful 30 something attempts I killed him. I was under the impression you HAD to kill him to move on. I’ve never been more proud when I realized it’s something you should REVISIT when higher level :,)

I have an easier way yo kill this boss, summon the magicien and the wolves at the syart of battle.

AThe boss will be overwhelmed with 4 summons at tge same time that you can backstab the boss and kill gim completely through phase 1 and 2 before he is even able to kill the magicien and the wolves.

The boss will be yoo busy twking blocs from your ados that he will not sowm his wnnoying holy speae on you cercle move on you in serons phase so you can finish it off quickly.


Otherwise he's a pain in the ass wheb he kills the magicien wnd you haven't summoned the wolves yet because he will focud on you.

I thinj there is eome kind of yhreat thing or wgwtever that makes the boss reçus in whiever attqcks him most.

I thought he would be easy since I encountered him like 30 mins in the game but here I am.

I’m a new player I only have 10 hours in as a samurai. I beat this boss this morning after trying for a good 3-4 hrs yesterday. I still don’t know how, but the wolves and cooperator helped a lot. When the wolves are attacking, move in and slash him as fast as you can. When he rears back before striking, hitting him in the belly can take a lot of damage. It’s when he’s vulnerable before striking where you have an opening.

I hate it when I have to weed through worthless information to find the most simple answer possible.

Finally beat him.
Attack him a few times at the start. Use the Stone attack attack. Use the stone quick again. Attack attack. Summon wolves. Use fire spell from far and spam it

This is one of the only guides I've seen that actually explains the openings and/or strategy for any of these boss fights. Thanks for providing real information instead of "stamina management and positioning" like every hardcore who thinks we all know exactly what that should look like for every encounter, despite only doing them a handful of times (I got Margit on 2nd try without the Shackle, and it's not like I learned patterns in those attempts).

I used Nagakiba and uchigatana didn't do critical hit when he get stunned and killed him easy

couldnt get margits shackles because i killed patches 😭

I have never played a game like elden ring and its coinfusinmg the hell out of me i was just trying to run around and beat the game i cant even kil the regular npc then i got to this boss and im only 20 mins into the game... I cant beat it for shit and now im gonna loose my stuff if i dont kjill it this is so hard.

You can't spawn the wolves mid-fight anymore

The first time I tried margit I got my ass handed to me so I left and came back after 3 hours and I beat him in under a minute
