You can't just sit on your but offshore. You've got to check the engine room and below deck spaces frequently especially when the weather changes. Even if it's flat calm you still have to pay attention the whole time you are offshore. No excuses!

As a mother i felt the womans heart she was crying after her son ... horrifying situation. I am so glad he made it!!!

If Sean was my son, we would of been the first 2 off the boat in the water before the ship crashed into the water... I would of never lost him, and if I did, his entire fate would be on me.

Bro , the captain and the “professionals” should have made everyone jump off the boat . It was going down regardless . It would have been safer to have people jump off. Sean would have not been lost

I really love that when a disaster happens near a port or beach, people with personal boats RUSH to help ❤️ it’s really powerful. Reminds me of the story of the jetliner that went down in a swamp and the first guy to get there was a fisherman on a fan boat, he saved everyone who survived that crash from alligator infested waters!

god did not do that for you, people did. Good people, brave people. Without these people the situation would have completely dier. Did god pick and choose that day? Get real, your radio call, and your freind started a search, by shear luck a freighter spotted you and you were rescued, some were not. Give credit where its due, I find it disingenuous to thank god , it was your freind and your people that gave you your reprieve on life.

i cannot believe that dude went 19 hrs paralyzed and was tossed around in a stretcher and had a full recovery and has zero issues caving after the accident.

Why were the passengers staying on the boat as it sank. The suction could have proved deadly!!!!

Don't put yourself in places where if you have a problem you will not be helped easily and you will also put other people's lives in danger.

yeah you do caver again then if are into accident don't ask help or rescuer be responsible to your life. why not get lesson from your past the effort of those rescuer who rescued you is not easy but they did their job just to get you out then now u're telling u continue ur passion im naaaah

Of course its dramatic. But this was actually a good place to get shiprecked. Water temperatur is like 27 degrees there (ive been there).
Also they had all swim wests and had been rescued fast. Imagine this had happened in freezing cold atlantic ocean... There you would be dead in minutes just by hypertermia.

I'm not sure what I would've done in that situation, but I think getting off and away from the boat before it sinks would be better

I dnt know why I watch this stuff and raise my anxiety. I feel like I might learn something in case of emergency but it really does kill a part of me
