Followed this excersize for myself… got to the point of the core belief: that I’ve wasted this life and I should end it and start over. Now I’m stuck there. Communicate my needs and wants: I need to find a way to kill myself and start over. Now I’m really stuck.and my rule of interaction with me is: do t interact with me because I’m a ghost. And this applies in every situation. And the experiment was I asked for acknowledgment from my sister about not feeling great and needing to talk and got no answer. The message was read but not acknowledged. Which cemented in my brain that I am a ghost..

ОтветитьShe is a pretty bad therapist regarding her behavior, impatient, egocentric. Why is she not smiling, such a good role model, I would not give her 5 minutes of my time to make me a better person. Psychotherapist in education, Germany.

ОтветитьI have been trained in multiple day-long sessions for Motivational interviewing, CBT, and Tools of choice. It's a pretty easy-to-understand principle for each of these but the company wanted to ensure each staff understood the steps. This 20-minute video summed everything up and saved so much time. Easy to follow, easy to understand, great roleplaying.

ОтветитьUnsure if CBT is not extremely damaging. Hey, friend you belief something wrong. What is wrong? What is a belief? Who is the therapist to say, you have the wrong thoughts. Doesnt have the therapist his or her own core beliefs, which might be "wrong."

ОтветитьI think the core belief that has brought me here is that by asking questions like what would it be like in worst case scenario of these thoughts that seeks a reaches a base discovery where the mind almost automatically says, wait a minute, that's not REALLY what I believe and it brings a positive sense of realisation that the spaghetti of thoughts needs only to be separated through queries like SO WHAT? all the way down once you've identifies what is felt.
Querying the feeling to get to the bottom of it.

ОтветитьI am a LCMHC and I thought this was really great! Core beliefs are so important to identify. I often have a core belief that “I am too much” in that people don’t wanna be my friend because I am too hyper or too loud or excitable. Thanks for the mock session!

ОтветитьThis therapy is great. I believe that the fear we have deep inside of us gets in a way from us expressing ourselves.
“What if I’m worthless and nobody would love my true nature?”
We often time decide to put a distance from people to avoid facing the fear. Even though we are very lonely and unhappy, at least we will never get hurt this way.

ОтветитьMy core belief is that i feel inferior to other people. I see people from school etc... who hang around with attractive women, have 100+ likes on instagram, people who have more sympathy towards others, people i would like to meet interacting with others.
It seems to me those kinds of people are sound and im just weird and retarded.
What doesnt help is that i am autistic, overweight, have a very deep and loud voice.
great unpacking, and that is one of my core beliefs and it is affecting my life and its great for me to try both to overcome it and to overcome my fear of failure as a new establishing counsellor
