We lost everything….home, clothing, photographs, furniture, etc. One of my hardest things to take is that all my years of collecting recipes, cookbooks, my grandmother and mother’s recipes are gone…irreplaceable. We were hit hard by Helene, house flooded. Then along came Milton and finished it off by taking the roof for a ride. But…we are fortunate we have adult children and we are able to stay with them until we figure out where to go.
ОтветитьI’m so sorry for people there- toxic mud, no water. The people are in severe shock.
I sent money to a church who asked us for it.
Think of your good fortune this way, there has to be some one (s) to start the clean up the mess and help those that have suffered

ОтветитьThanks so much for filming the news is not showing all the devastation. My is in the National Guards was sent into the worse parts where the hurricane hit that is not been shown on TV and the talk we hear about people being dead and hung up in trees and debris is so true he said it's horrible and he is so traumatized from it. The government or FEMA is only giving people that lost there homes, there livestock, lost everything are only getting $ 750.00. That's crazy ! It takes that much or more to feed a family for a week. Plz pray for these folks. God Bless you guys.
ОтветитьThanks for this topic. Al, you are absolutely right: filming it is not "making a buck" on it, it is drawing attention to it. I am far away in California: I learned more from Jason's walk-thru of Asheville than from news reports and random "hearsay" videos and tweets. As Ben said, there were lots of videos pre flooding... and then nothing -- no power, no cell coverage, no Internet. We need local folks to keep us informed -- not "disaster tourism" or (yikes!) looters. Would love to help post links to good info, good agencies, fundraisers
ОтветитьHelicopters: we are 1 hour east of 2 of you guys and the helicopters are still very active. I have an app that shows aircraft and there were 4 near you yesterday.
ОтветитьI live in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. We held a 2 day event filling a 53 foot tractor trailer with supplies and food from a local grocery store. It was delivered to a Boone North Carolina church this morning. 🙏
ОтветитьThe ants had their homes washed out, too. They're trying to start new communities
ОтветитьSo. My take. Set up a camera and le those that want to share to do so. Then help whatever way you can.
MSNM. . .. FB is saying everything is false. Get the stories out. Let people KNOW the truth.
I've been actively viewing RELIABLE content creators' storm videos because mainstream media has "moved on". Please keep showing us what's happening. ❤
ОтветитьAl seems to get so much done on his property compared to Ben who talks the talk.
ОтветитьBen, that’s what you do in a time of disaster!! You help your neighbor, that is the Christian way!! We love you guys for what you do!! Keep helping others if and when you can!!
ОтветитьWe had a hurricane here in the UK one night in 1987 a few months after we moved into our new flat in the park and it woke me up and I looked out the window and watched a huge tree fall on one of the houses on the development around forty feet away. It was shocking! And the park had many trees over that needed to be cleared so we could get out.
ОтветитьJason: Check out that 1870's homestead videos. He has a small open trailer and just places his pig house in it and gets them to walk into it. I think he straps the thing down with ratchet straps. Something to give you an idea on what to do.
ОтветитьThank you for the real kind of video this week. Though I'm not even near any danger zone from hurricanes but I feel much the same ax you expressed today. When I watch videos that are going n through such disaster and then I watch a video of areas not affected and life is goinig on like nothing happened,, it makes me feel depressed. I believe that we have not been affected often feel guilty. Especially when there is nothing I can physically do to help anymone. But the Lord reminded me to be thankful and praise Him for his mercy and love. Those that have been affected in Ashville basically seem to have this thankful spirit. Ben and Jason, just praise the Lord for His mercy and love in sparing you and your familiues. I trust that you will be able to then get back to taking care of things with more pleasure than it seemed to have this week. Looking forward to all of you getting back to the life of the homesteader who perserverse in hard times. Having been raised on a farm in the 40's and 50's, here will always been something that knocks the props out from under you but you can sit back and let life go on without you. These times and experiences are tough and hopefully you won't have to experience more for a very long time. Have a great week getting back to your meat processing and building all of you. I look forward to watching all of it.
ОтветитьIf you think turkeys are experts in wanting to die, you should try sheep.
ОтветитьYou’re right it’s all here say.
ОтветитьI know I would rather hear from the people then these so called msm.
ОтветитьAl and Ben, you sound like you are suffering from survivor's guilt. I don't say that sarcastically. Take care and talk this out with family members or friends outside of the area (like Al). So many in that area are hurting and suffering in one way or another. You need to talk to folks that are a little more grounded (even if less well informed) to keep your sanity.
ОтветитьMilton made landfall right below Tampa. My mother-, sister-,and father-in-law live right where it hit and it was a Cat 3 at landfall. Thank God my in-laws are ok and they didn't have any damage, however, one of their neighbors had the roof ripped right off their house. Praying that anyone involved in these hurricanes recover quickly and that everyone is accounted for and safe!
ОтветитьDo you have to check your Wells for contamination?
ОтветитьDo you have to check your Wells for contamination?
ОтветитьBen, that's called survivor's guilt
ОтветитьThe YT is very unhappy with this video, I'm positive that I just saw over ten commercials.
ОтветитьThank you gentelmen for sharing the truth about what is really going on in Western N. C. The MSM is not giving accurate coverage. Especially about gov. Agencies blocking assistance from other locals & private individuals attempting to render help. The degree of destruction is being played down. God bless you all. 💖
ОтветитьThe observation connecting no power with better sleep is spot on accurate. This is due to the disruptive effects of specific types of electromagnetic fields including those in the power grid, wifi, and cellphone networks on our bodies at the cellular level. As you referenced, some people make a point of cutting power to the bedroom circuit at night and/or putting up metal shielding around sleeping areas. I can personally confirm dramatic improvements to sleep with shielding and power outages. I also had to fight to keep my "dumb" meters. If you want more info on the science of how EMF damages our bodies I recommend the book EMF*D by Dr Joseph Mercola.
ОтветитьI feel that filming the disaster is recording history. I don’t consider it making a buck
ОтветитьIt's been so sad to see all the utter devastation 💔 but so glad that folks like you guys showing us what's really going on with the aftermath ❤

ОтветитьY'all were on the DIRTY SIDE. West is BEST & EAST is the BEAST .
ОтветитьStay happy guys we need your funny lol
ОтветитьMuch appreciated gents; my go to podcast for the weekend. All very distressing conversations.
Ответитьplease take care
ОтветитьThere’s ne’er too much sharing, we all feel for them, 😢❤
ОтветитьTake care of yourselves 😊
ОтветитьJason cant you use your little truck with a pen on it
ОтветитьI would like to know the reality of how the aftermath has played out. Is there a difference from what they're dealing with after Milton - Im hearing there is great disparity. I'm on the W coast, we feel so helpless in only donating funds when there is so much loss and devastation. Glad people are sharing as they can. God be with you and keep you always safe. ❤
ОтветитьPTSD is real . Everyone deals with it differently.
ОтветитьIt's Friday the 11th. This may be old news by now, but there have been out there in the thick of it, some with drones surveying the hard to reach homes for stranded people and those who didn't make it. There is a guy who I just subscribed to, who goes by the channel, Tree truck life. He had a .ot of good footage of the roads and rivers.
ОтветитьB.C, in Canada is down there a few other provinces have sent their crews too hugssssss

Ответитьthe news people have no interest in showing the storm unless its looting and such seems like they dont care ........... unless its criminal they dont care hugssssss to you for trying to bring it to light hugssss
ОтветитьBen talking about "opting out of a smart meter" ... I tried that here and for an additional $75.00 a month "reader fee" I could opt out and without the "fee" I had to keep the "smart meter" ... and I'm in North Carolina on Duke Energy ...
ОтветитьThe EMF electric field. The smart meters.
ОтветитьJason, what about a flat, ramped vehicle trailer that you can use to haul lumber, equipment, lawn mower, small vehicle, and some livestock containment cage.
ОтветитьHi here in oz ants we watchout for lots of rain.
ОтветитьFlorida did get slammed but it wasn’t to the caliber of Helene but devastating just the same.
God Bless you all.
