Emma missing part of the picture when she talks about a "liberal- progressive" divide on trans issues. Yes, some centrist liberals are flipping on these issues but these people fundamentally believe in nothing but their own power and advancing donor interests. People like Seth Moulton will be for these issues if they think it helps them and against them if they decide they're a liability. "Progressives" like Emma will die on these issues to the point where she said some months ago that women's sports should be "shut down" if trans women who went through male puberty aren't allowed in. And the old school left, which we don't hear from too much, but which traces it's roots back to Vietnam activism and McGovern, anti Reagan, etc has zero interest in these issues because they don't involve issues of class and empire and pit working class people against one another depending on cultural leanings. ie "the banks love it when we argue about bathrooms and don't focus on them." Emma is not on the left of a two way divide, she is in the center of a three way divide.

I think what is going on with the average American is much more sinister than you all want to accept. What has happened is worse than bad. I wouldn't be surprised if the Democratic party is banned by him and the public just accepts it.

Thoughts with Sam's sick kitty. My recently turned 18yr old esa cat has been diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney disease & I have to watch him like a hawk to ensure he eats enough, keeps up an appetite (gabapentin's increased appetite side effect, added in his food is a life saver) & doesnt become so nauseous that he can't keep food/water down. Just fasting for an ultrasound threw off his appetite, leading to 24 hrs of vomiting again before his anti nausea meds started working, then a day of syringe feeding, finally getting him eating on his own after 2 days! I hope Sam's kitties feel better & stay healthy!
