If being vegan is a privilege, then so be it. I would rather use my privilege to make these choices, than choices that are exploiting someone
ОтветитьThank you for this, Derek. Let’s educate the ignorant people.
ОтветитьI honestly just love eating since I decided to become vegetarian for good. I started at 17 but relapsed at 23ish due to family pressure. Then went back to vegetarian at around 25ish and have stuck with it. I’m not fully vegan yet since my entire family are hard core meat eaters (for religious reasons some so of them believe it or not 😂) and like to throw meat at me so I have milk and eggs still occasionally (and salmon on very rare occasion or when at a restaurant that has absolutely nothing vegan) but I’m 94% vegan. I look forward to every meal — the food just tastes amazing and my body feels great also. Win win situation.
ОтветитьI get my vitamin B12 from nutritional yeast. I add it to my salads every day.
ОтветитьPeople have been telling me some incredible things such as "you need to eat meat to survive" According to them I've been dead for the past 17 years (since I turned vegan 17 years ago) 😆
ОтветитьI'm 71 and went vegan four years ago. Haven't needed to go to the doctor, take no meds, am the right weight, and on a recent health check was told I had the metabolic age of a 56-year-old. What surprises me is that I have only once been criticised for my diet -- everyone else just nods -- and that was my sister in law who said 'I think I would be justified in serving you meat' (but didn't) when I went to their house. I live in the UK.
ОтветитьLoved your taking apart Nugent’s claim (🤬) He must be under the insane impression the Amazon & other Rain Forests are being destroyed (insect, bird & animal populations with it) in order to grow Tomatoes for Vegans? That millions & millions of acres harvested every year with combines, for Argi Animal production isn’t really a thing, that cows, chickens, pigs just grow…somehow 🤦♀
ОтветитьSimnett Nutrition, You're the best! I subscribed because I love your content!
ОтветитьSimnett Nutrition, I really like your videos, let's be friends!
ОтветитьSimnett Nutrition, This is awesome! I subscribed because I want to see more!
Ответитьcan you make a hard copy book of your recipes !!!!! please lol
ОтветитьAnd grass fed cows are given harvested hay and grass pellets in dry and winter seasons
ОтветитьBoycott halal meat ... cruelty exemplified
ОтветитьI'm 50 years old, work construction, been vegan 8 years, it gets me down not being understood. No one I know eats a plant based diet, then, bang, I watch your uplifting video and I don't feel like a freak anymore. Thanks.
ОтветитьBest video! Thanks! 🍎🥔🍋🌱🥑🥗
ОтветитьInterestingly I ate almost no protein when I was vegetarian for years and years. Going vegan has forced me to start making actual meals with lots of flavours and to really think about my protein intake, and I think I now get more nutrients. I certainly get more protein, and the gains are there!
Ответить❤❤❤nice
ОтветитьBMI is not scientific at all... muscle weighs more than fat... 🌹🌹
ОтветитьThere are literally toxins in every fruit and vegetable...
Vegans absolutely miss meat, this one guy literally tried to make watermelon look like tuna, why?
Your eyes are literally a pale dying color.
I eat whole food plant but I do it for health reasons not for the planet or animals, me first
ОтветитьI find Mic the Vegan to be an obnoxious human being
ОтветитьOnly myths and lies , you know , Brainwashed population believe whatever The Media says and most of that media are paid by the Animal killing industry , also We Vegans are not the ones who fill the Hospitals with Cancer , diabetes , heart disease , hypertension , Cholesterol ..my last check out was perfect , The Doctor was in shock to see my results one more time
ОтветитьI've noticed the way non-vegans talk about vegans is the same way right wing people talk about leftists...same exact language, its uncanny. They call them judgemental, holier-than-thou, trying to impose their values onto everyone else, etc...
ОтветитьPlease don't let my negative posts discourage you. I think your channel is great, and I wouldn't have missed Crystal's giggles for anything. 🙂
ОтветитьI think your discussion of B12 supplementation is a bit fatuous. The NEED for B12 supplementation tells us that veganism is a death diet. Don't take your B12, and you die a horrible death after being physically debilitated for several years. No meat-eater is going to die like that.
If there was a historical society that was vegan and thrived, it was probably because they, unknowingly, ate insect poop, or dust from the dried poop of large agricultural animals covered everything they ate.
How is anyone deficient in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs, Omega-6)? It is now suspected that the epidemic of insulin resistance which causes Metabolic Syndrome is the result of over consumption of PUFAs.
Ответить#2 You are the first vegan spokesperson I''ve seen who doesn't act all 'holier-than-thou'. "You mean that you make something die so that you can live? How selfish and immoral!"
ОтветитьGreat video Derek! 😎
ОтветитьIt’s ok to miss the TASTE/FLAVOR of meat: it’s the mix of salty, smoky & fatty. And also the fact that most vegans had been eating meat (alas) for years before. Old habits die hard. But our lids have been peeled: we know & see the HORRORS behind the product which is intolerable, unacceptable, unjustified. Oh yeah and also the planet hahaha
ОтветитьI’m so glad that I came across one of your videos 😊I can’t stop watching 😅. I am vegan 9 years now and eat very simple, but now I’m starting to try ALL OF YOUR RECIPES. Thank you for sharing!!!
ОтветитьVegans and the "sect".Yeah:)))
Ответитьpeople get SO MAD when they find out I don't eat meat. I always try to hide it because of that but seriously, how do my personal choices of not eating something affect anyone else?
ОтветитьOne of the nicest videos I’ve watched on the topic - thanks as always for great content Derek!
ОтветитьHi favorite couple. Interesting discussion. Thank you 😊 ❤
ОтветитьPosted this in other comments. I’m a male vegan for many years and I don’t supplement. Not suggesting ppl don’t but my blood work shows nothing low or of concern. I’m not a gym rat but am and have been involved in the health and fitness industry and have many high level combat athletes under my tuition. Just a quick note about B12 - I get mine from marmite and fortified nutritional yeast, it’s that easy plus NY contains a few other B group vitamins……just saying.
ОтветитьI do get annoyed with vegans that bash meat eaters like they weren’t ever not vegan. I’m not vegan but I do like my veg and mock meats . Just recently started thing meat is gross unseasoned anyway so what’s the point !?
ОтветитьTo me vegans are more sophisticated. It's super primitive and basic to kill animals for food. It's outrageous.
I live in a very poor country and I still can afford a vegan diet. It's actually cheaper than omnivore diets! Besides I cook all my meals.
I can't eat foods that resemble meat. Fake meats make me 🤢 sick. Vegan highly processed foods are tasty but then I get 🤢 sick. So I try to avoid them as much as possible.
I'm so tired of the us vs them. Can't we all just live and let live?
ОтветитьAs an Indian veganism is a very ancient practice, we were very compassionate towards animals, still most indian worship cow as holy animal, but make her suffer for milk 😢
ОтветитьNature is all about survival of the fittest, the harsh reality of it.
ОтветитьI wonder what vitamins we have as humans if some day in the distant (or near) future a species above us would find in our potential consumption...i often wonder if they would have the same philosophy as humans do now around eating meat...and how humans were so against slavery when it was obvious that it was happening. But thank God this will never be the case as humans will always be at the top of the food chain.... that is until they destroy themselves in their ignorance
ОтветитьThank you, Derek, for this amazing video. You and Crystal truly are beautiful souls, and I've been following you and enjoying your content since I went vegan seven and a half years ago. Thank you for making the vegan lifestyle more understandable and accessible for the collective. The Divine in me sees the Divine in you and honors it. 🙏💜✨️
ОтветитьNumber 2 is especially relevant
ОтветитьEducating people is certainly the way to go 🌱 ☀️
ОтветитьI don't get sick, don't get a cold or the flu.
ОтветитьI'm 71 years old and people think I'm in my mid 30's no grey hair just a little at the temple.very little grey hair. Vegan is the way to go I have alot of energy and a 32 inch waist at 71 years old I feel GREATTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьBeing vegan is a lot cheaper, I know that.
ОтветитьI went vegetarian when I was 18 years old in college, and I went vegan 26 years ago. I'm 71 years old now, and I have my natural hair color, medium brown hair no dye job, I have a 32 inch waist and people think I'm in my mid 30's even though I'm 71 years old. Being vegan is the best way, I'm living proof, and I don't miss meat or dairy at all. I dont take any vitamins or supplements and I have tons of energy.
