What is something you never forget to pack in your adventures? 🎒
ОтветитьThere’s one thing I see miss for a woman traveling alone. What do you do for safety? When I am out alone I always have a pepper spray. I always have a small pocket knife, not necessarily for protection, but for utility. I have not traveled much lately, but when flying I’ve ended up checking a bag because I want to have these items with me.
ОтветитьThank you for this inspiring video ! i'm just a bit surprise you don't though a lot about the carbon footprint of travelling by plane , especially with the choice of the cheapest flights. So saying you save the environnement while using a flask is a bit comic here. Please get more awake about these (sorry for my english i'm french)
ОтветитьI've traveled many times with less than this and am an efficient packer. I'm a bit skeptical that this all fit into the backpack. I'd love to see you pack it all in there.
ОтветитьI see you are taking a Canon DSLR. One place to save a bit of weight and volume would be to change to a compact mirrorless like an OM-5. You still get high-quality interchangeable lenses; the 12-40mm Olympus Zoom is stunning. Good luck and safe travels!
ОтветитьThis is so helpful, thank you! I would love to know which backpack you are using?
ОтветитьI need to find those japanese towels/cloths you mentioned. Good tip!
ОтветитьSuch a hero - I have been doing that for the last 30 years 🤨😖😖😖😖🤨
ОтветитьI ALWAYS NEED AN EXTENSION CORD SO I CAN CHARGE A DEVICE IN BED.
Ответитьis plucker and nail clipper allowed in hand baggage in the airplane?
ОтветитьWhat water bottle do you use?
ОтветитьI've been able to get it down to one bag but I still bring a few too many items. I had one top /bottom I didn't wear on my last trip. Work in progress but getting better. 😍
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьjust got back from a 3 week trip with an awkward trolley bag. love this vid. what kind of back pack is that?
ОтветитьAs a chronic overpacker, I did international travel last year with one bag and it was *amazing*. It was so freeing to not have to wait at the airport for my checked luggage, I had extra room to bring back gifts if I wanted, and, most importantly, I was able to bring medications and other items to help with my chronic health conditions, without the worry of some things not being easily accessible or available in another country. It really brought peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy my trip much more while still being comfortable!
And I definitely didn’t have just the absolute basics - I could easily bring luxuries (my switch, my iPad, my computer, etc.), even with having about 1/3 of my weight and space dedicated to prescriptions and other medical supplies.
I highly recommend it! I love this video, your thoughts and reasoning behind each product made so much sense and I am super happy to see it! I love your minimalist-specific tips, I think I did overpack somewhat, even with only one bag, so I’m going to look better at my setup and take your advice to cut down :)
If you're traveling in Europe where you can drink water from the tap, then bringing a water bottle makes sense, but otherwise I would advise to just buy water bottles because you will be carrying extra bulkiness for nothing
ОтветитьBathroom water isn't good for you.
Ответитьonly thing that's missing for me is menstrual products! i always seem to go places without it and i need it before i can actually reach a place where I can buy them
ОтветитьWhich backpack do you have?
ОтветитьIncredible, thanks 🙏🏽 ❤
ОтветитьGreat video. I bring more health related items, medication, first aid, moisturizer, at least 2 bras and 2 pair of shoes
Ответитьspent 3 months traveling europe with a canvas backpack back in the 60's. survived just fine. never felt over/underdressed nor too cold/hot, well, except for Italy in august. yo can do it.
ОтветитьI notice you don’t take a small hand or cross shoulder bag. I find this useful for days I don’t need to carry all my items and it provides easy access to money, passport and phone.
Ответитьhello what backpack is that?
ОтветитьFolding collapsable water bottle for me and powerbank..
ОтветитьHate the echo...
ОтветитьYou need to fix your audio, the reverb is terrible and painful to my eares.
ОтветитьTo anyone wanting to know what kind of backpack she has: it’s her camera bag.
ОтветитьOlá Bea, é incrível que consegues viajar com tão pouco 👍😁. Gostei muito do teu vídeo 😊, obrigada.
ОтветитьAllowed to bring nail clippers at the airport? Genuinely asking. 😌✨
ОтветитьNot sure if i missed it in the video however, what is the backpack you used in this video. Do you generally carry a second camera lens? Ie wide angle or zoom.
ОтветитьNice video came across you tube today. Thank You for sharing. Loved it.
Is this tooth paste/brush category allowed in hand carried bag flights ?
Thanks for this informative video, and it is so timely as I am preparing for a 15 day Alaska trip. 👍🇰🇾
ОтветитьThank you for this I have been traveling full time for 1.5 years and am still bringing too much stuff!!!! wanting to get down to 7-8kg 😬
ОтветитьA couple observations from experience:
1. Many travellers, me included, use toploader backbacks (versus yours with with the open front). In these, pack electronic gadgets/wires in a clear zip-top baggie and place on top. Ditto, toiletries/liquids. This ensures one need only open the zip to access and replace them when going through security or for accessing cables for recharging.
2. Consider two backpacks - a longer/larger one on your back, a shorter/smaller one on your front. Not only does this enable more carry space, those items requiring removal at security (computer etc.), use in the washroom (toothbrush etc.) or comfort (sunglasses, sleep mask, book etc.) can be put on the top of the front bag for ready access without the need to remove it.
At the airport, for easy access I also put my travel documents in a front pocket on my front backpack. Once through security they return to the inside pocket of my jacket.
For storage the longer bag goes in the overhead, the shorter under the seat.
For backpacks I recommend Sandqvist.
great! thanks!♡❤🎉
ОтветитьSo nice ! I liked to see how you're using a camera backpack as a travel bag. It's interesting because the camera cube in a normal bag can be heavy sometimes. This video gives some ideas 💡 Have a nice day
ОтветитьOvo cozido é um snack genial para uma viagem (: vou começar a incluir
ОтветитьI wouldn't bring so much make up with me but instead let my skin and lips rest. Maybe lipstick😂 I'm happy enough that I dont pack any camera so my backpack is less than 6kg :) also packing my small child (5yo) is easy when being minimalist family so he only caries one small bag and I wash everything over and over. We pack always as for 4 days :)
ОтветитьHow many litres is the backpack please!?
ОтветитьI have watched this video so many time. I enjoy it nut it is really useful as well. Loved the editing and how you have approached the topic. As a seasoned traveller myself I loved it 'cos I learned something as well. I totally agree about that "just in case" item. Having made the mistake so many times I can concur. Now I don't take them as much(still do take some haha) and I rarely regret it.
The list is the main thing .
If you make a list - you can edit it even before you pack and it is a great way to streamline what you bring.
Once again - love this video and will probably come back to it again.
Thanks for making it.
Happy travels.
A sandwich and a boiled egg??
whats the name of your backpack?
ОтветитьEcho echo echo
ОтветитьI also keep a small mirror and bandana. Both versatile and often get used.
Ответитьused to travel with just a backpack but as I got older my back started hurting and just switched to 1 carryon luggage and never looked back.
ОтветитьÓtimas dicas! Salvei seu vídeo para poder usa-las nos momentos oportunos.
ОтветитьI would also say for the just in case items how difficult is it to replace and how much of an affect will not having it have on your trip. I have hyper mobility issue so I would bring my braces since them don’t take up much room and my trip could be massive affected if I have a flare up and I don’t have them. I wouldn’t bring lot of over the counter medicine though cos they should be easy to find if in populated areas(I would check the names the medication goes by in the country I’m visiting). Travel minimalism is all a balancing act of ease of travel versus comfort during a trip.
ОтветитьHello hello, I always take a long rope with me, in case I need to hang stuffs to dry :-)
