Hello Danceliners! Here's the Evolution of Sugarplum fairy (Mariinsky version). Since there are many others that are very interesting to watch we're gonna publish separate videos for them 🩰 Merry Christmas 🎄⛄
ОтветитьEfremova Svetlana's dance is unparalleled. She moves as if breathing, so perfectly natural and harmonious. It is the highest degree of art.
ОтветитьAs a musician for 6 years in total (5 years violin 1 year cello and still cello) I think most of the ballerinas are having problems with catching the beat especially when they dance to "Esmeralda" And everytime when they can't catch the beat it is giving me panic attacks.
ОтветитьEfremova, no contest.
ОтветитьThe first dancer had charisma, had an energy and a charm that got my gaze focused on her dancing. She was a natural born ballet dancer
ОтветитьNo one beat the first dancer... It just felt different.. the way it act , and dance is just different
ОтветитьOld ballet seems to be dancing with the music. New ballet doesn't try to dance on beat or add flourishes. It's really frustrating
ОтветитьI definitely feel Efremova was the best our of the 3. Perfect technique, graceful, most pleasing to watch.
ОтветитьI never learned to dance, and I never thought, the nutcracker's choreography was the exact same from 1960, or I would say now probably from the first performance... and watching the same choreography over and over again... I should say, the dancers are right... it gets boring... the content disappears... just a mechanic repetition... hence this is how it looks like indeed...
ОтветитьThe fish one ❤❤❤
ОтветитьAs someone who knows nothing about ballet and has never seen a live performance and only watched this out of boredom and mild curiosity- the first one is the best. She’s by far the most on beat and her tutu dances in sync with her. It’s so pretty and mesmerizing to watch.
ОтветитьOh Efremova, how amazing you were ,🤌🏼 Chef kiss.
ОтветитьAnother proof that back in the days you just could be the best with pretty average level of skill 😂
ОтветитьBallet is art, not sport.
ОтветитьI don't know a lot about dance but the first dancer seemed to have a lot of strength in her feet, so that her top half and bottom half were in unison. The middle dancer had less of that. The last dancer was very expressive in movement so it was less awkward but not as great as the 1st
ОтветитьIt's sad how the effect of watching this on a video is different than watching it live which is x1000 a better experience in person, still, you can feel how magical and impressive these performances are.
ОтветитьFrom a healthy body to a suffering body is all I saw.
ОтветитьOk lol theh looked cool
ОтветитьInteresting... As a non-dancer, I found the first dancer to be stiff & pretentious. Then, after watching the whole video, I went back & watched Efremova & now she's my favorite. 🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьWhy didn't the audio match the movement in the last vid? Editing? Or was the dancer really off beat? I can't tell.
ОтветитьThe first dancer is how we all imagined ourselves as young girls dreaming about dancing to this song. Incredible how that woman will forever be dancing in her prime for us even when she’s gone.
ОтветитьThe second dancer is my favourite, beautiful 💕
Ответитьi would also like to be strong
ОтветитьOriginal was the best. Yawned through the others
ОтветитьThe newer ones had hypermobility and overextended their joints to make the movements look more fluid whereas the dancer in the older clip looked more controlled and elegant.
ОтветитьPersonally, I liked #3 best and then #1. Dancer #2 seemed half hearted in somenof her arm positions like she just didn't really care all that much anymore.
Ответитьthis is my dream role
ОтветитьThe first dancer was best. She had an ability the others did not possess. That is, she actually glided on her toes so effortlessly, one could only assume she became a butterfly in flight.
ОтветитьCan someone please please explain to me why the Mariinsky doesn’t use the complete music for their Sugar Plum solo?
ОтветитьEfremova was the best. I enjoyed watching her, it was like watching the music come to life.
ОтветитьThe classic dancer was the best. Her technique was absolutely flawless.
ОтветитьThe sound is so bad...
ОтветитьThe slower tempo makes the lower leg beats more expressive and meaningful. Not a dancer, so I don’t know what they’re called. I definitely liked the first performance the best. (Efremova).
ОтветитьЕфремова-лучшая. Балет -это не спорт , а искусство, он должен затронуть душу зрителя.
ОтветитьDancer 2 is anorexic - emaciated as F.
ОтветитьEfremova, oh I adore❤
ОтветитьWell, to dance the whole ballet and to dance one scene is not the same. Though I agree with the general idea of tricks over poetry.
Ответить 🩰
ОтветитьI was amazed by how perfectly the music synched not simply to the first dancer’s steps, but to the movement of her old-fashioned softer skirt. None of the newer dances had that rhythmical wobble, despite the steps being the same, probably because the costumes were made of more advanced, stiffer materials. At risk of talking nonsense since I’m in no way trained in ballet history or technique, it almost seemed like the dance was choreographed to intentionally create that movement in the skirt, but the stiffer material used in the newer costumes means it no longer does so.
Ответитьsince i definitely prefer girls with skinny legs and i generally go to ballet to look at pretty girls who can beautifully move, i like the tendency of the dancers being more slim than in 60ss... also while i acknowledge that the first girl probably had the best technics, imo it looks better when they don't hold legs in a silly position for a while... i liked the second one the most even though looks like she made at least one mistake
ОтветитьI’m a ballet dancer in the past. First two ballerinas are superior to third in everything - technique, body control, musicality. That’s all there is to it.
Ответитьthe steps and poses became more mechanical as the years went on, but the arms were as fluid as a jellyfish. you could also definitely see the 2nd and 3rd iterations were much thinner than 1960’s dancer.
ОтветитьГде звук?
ОтветитьWow! After the first one, the dance of the sugarplum fairy finally makes sense!
ОтветитьThe first one is magical and tells a story, the other 2 especially the last are like robotic stick figures
ОтветитьИ в чем эволюция? В том, что теперь чтоб не обидеть спонсоров берут на роли прим их дочек? XD
ОтветитьAfter watching this video, i finally know that it was not me that is weird, but the modern sugar fairy plum dance always looks weird for me. It often feels off beat! The modern version movement always looks "jittery" for me, which is contradicting the music. The music is delicate and subtle, yet the modern dancers' dance always feels rushed. It's as if they detach their dance with the music. It feels they dance to technique rather than to music, which unfortunately i found it keeps getting pronounced on ballet these days. The first dancer is the best no doubt.
