Thank you very much for this review! I would have a question. Since you use to have a sj4000 too (like I do have now), can you tell me the difference about the underwater quality between them? I am asking because my sj4000 wifi has a scratch now and I want to buy another but better action camera. But After I watched your video, I am not sure about the quality. I checked my underwater videos and compared your sj7 star underwater video, and I could not really see big difference between them. Would it be worth to buy sj7 star for underwater ? I really need your honest opinion.

What I'd like to know is in what resolution does the lens distortion correction work? I really don't want to find a software to do this manually. And since image stabilization is limited, maybe that also affect lens correction.

The only thing that is lacking on the SJ7 Star is video stabilization in 4K. One would likely buy this camera for it's Native 4K features and most likely film in 4K, but the lack of Stability would require you to purchase a gimbal and that would run the price up. So overall, it's an excellent all around 1080P camera, and with that said the SJcam sj5000x elite would probably the choice for the price.

I've got an SJ7 and you should try 60fps. It gets rid of the jerky footage / shutter stutter.. Good camera for the price
