Denilson: Under-rated

@wwfdaoo Well, if you'd actually taken the time to read the description, you'd know. His role, along with Song, is simply to shield the defence and fill in for them when one of the defenders goes up the pitch. He also provides a link between the defence and the attacking midfielders. He's not perfect at it, but, also, he's not nearly as bad as some people say. I just wanted to show that in the video. I'd say he's like a more-attacking version of Gilberto or Makelele. Not nearly as good tho yet.

@wwfdaoo No offence, but you don't sound like one. I agree that Denilson has some bulking up to do, but in terms of his reading of the game and his distribution, he's already at the same level as those two imo. I did say that he's not nearly as good as them YET, but he does have a lot of talent and potential, as I hope my video shows. He's also a confidence player, so it's our duty as Arsenal fans to stick with him and give him the support he needs. Some 'fans' have not been doing that tho.

@wwfdaoo Well, Chamakh for starters lol. I think we need a new goalkeeper and a couple of centre-backs. From what I've heard, they're likely to be Schwarzer from Fulham, Kocielny from Lorient and Vertonghen from Ajax, but, then again, you never really know with Wenger. I'm sure whoever he signs will do well.

@wwfdaoo I'm gonna have to take 2 comments to answer this. Firstly. we both know that's not true at all. Well done on trying to make up stats. Besides, sometimes a simple sideways pass is more effective than a failed forward pass. As for your idiotic comments, they are idiotic, because every time you've claimed something or asked a silly question, I've disproved it with the help of this video evidence and yet you still keep asking and saying the same things.

@wwfdaoo Tbh, all you've done on this video is criticize, often without any evidence, so that leads me to believe that's all you want to do. I'm not a 'losing fan' - what a joke of an insult - I feel often physically sick when Arsenal lose. I'm the only Arsenal fan in a school filled with Chelsea and Spurs fans and when Arsenal lose, they let me know about it. My family has season tickets there ffs. As for 'i'm more of a fan then you', now who's making the comments with 'vague' explanations?

@wwfdaoo @wwfdaoo Firstly, I think we can both agree that these comment boxes are too small and it's stopped both of us from fully explaining our arguments. Otherwise we would have understood eachother better. Your first question was 'what does Denilson actually do for the team?' I think, implying that he does nothing. At least, it seemed like that to me. I gave you an answer, but then you ignored me, twice, and kept asking the same questions, so you can see why I was a bit pissed off.

@wwfdaoo As for 'yeah anyone could make a video of someone and make them look like messi', making a video like this, for any player, takes time and effort. You can show me some of your own work, before being derogatory towards my videos.

@wwfdaoo When you call me a 'losing fan', it sounded to me like you were saying that I was a fan who was alright with losing which I'm not. Nothing could be further from the truth. 'Losing it with fans like you', that's different, because I was saying I was getting pissed off. I don't begrudge you your opinions, of course, but I so often here the same flawed points with no real truth behind them, which are said because every one else says them, and if I give an answer to them, I just get ignored

@wwfdaoo As for your final point, I never said I was a better fan than you and you're right, it would be idiotic to do so, as I don't believe you can compare the devotion of a fan with the devotion of another fan. We all support Arsenal. That's it. YOU, however, said that YOU were a better fan than me, with no evidence whatsoever to back this up btw, so I naturally felt I had to state my credentials as a real fan, which I did. It's hardly idiotic, it was just common sense.

@wwfdaoo I was in no way saying you were not a fan. If anything, you were insinuating that I was not a fan and, therefore, I felt it necessary to prove my credentials an Arsenal fan. I said we have season tickets, but that was simply to show that I was an Arsenal fan - nowhere did I say that it made you less of a fan or me more of a fan than you. In fact, the only person who's said they're more of a fan than the other in this whole argument was YOU.

Great video! it is true Denilson is one of the most under rated players in the league over the last couple of years the guy has done nothing wrong but only improve, I dont see how many of these 'Arsenal Fans' can slag him off time and time agian. He was the key in the first leg agianst Barcelona where he kept messi quiet :)

gr8 vid been sharing the deni love with CWD4 for a whil, the fact that he gets slated so much on arsenal blogs just makes me watch him even closer and love him even more __ eboue was hated by many because they thought he was in walcotts way so with ramsey and wilshere coming up there he'll become more underated but despite what they say he has enough to become one of our most important players in.. hang in and keep tha faith

Eboue was once hated, but I remember he was the only one who always had Cronaldo in his pocket. Song was also hated, maybe not hated, but not really liked; he would make careless mistakes and always seemed lost off the ball. Look at Song now. Fabianski is currently having the same problem among fans. Wenger has a reason why he keeps these players, and that's because how they perform in practice. Wenger's job is to bring that performance into the actual game. Denilson is one of these players.

Maybe not hated but in his first couple of seasons (05-06 and 06-07), he certainly wasn't liked. The Arsenal away fans booed him in an away game against Fulham in 2006.

Master of Back Passes with Brazilian Touch

In these video compilations it´s possible that Denilson (of in fact almost anybody) seems to play like Messi. It happens when you choose the very best and the brightest moments of his career. But what really matters is the way he plays generally. Denílson is not a bad player, on the other hand he´s neither a better-than-average nor an excellent player (not even mentioning a world-class player). I´ve seen loads of matches where he played and I´m pretty sure he doesn´t have enough talent for EPL.

You can make any player look good in a video by only showing good things and vice versa by showing only bad things they do. You could show a video with all of Messi's misses and call him crap. A video isn't exactly conclusive proof.

He really wasnt that bad for Arsenal but he just lacked the power and work rate to play in the EPL and maybe he was brought too soon buy Wenger. He needed more time to mature into a starting player

He's playing a lot better in Sao Paulo fc nowdays. With kaká, A. Pato and P.H. Ganso we  have good chances on winning the Brasileirão this year!

He was a midfielder in a very young side. I love Ramsey but you have to look at what he did and you have to think that he easily matched what that player is doing now.

underrated for what? he always useless and automatically made our side play like 10 men. he wasn't good enough in championship side and that's why he is now playing in middle east
