The Last of Us 2 - Joel's Heartbreaking Death Scene | Abby kills Joel

I think a better plan for the series would have been this;

- TLOU 1: exactly the same

- TLOU 2: entire story focuses on Abby and her father/group in the same timeline as TLOU 1, where all of these characters get to develop and we begin to organically care equally for Abby and her father as much as we do for Joel and Ellie. The game culminates with the death of Abby's father by Joel from their point of view, allowing us to see the events of TLOU from a completely new perspective.

TLOU 3: Exactly the same as the existing TLOU 2

I think doing it that way would have been absolutely excellent and would have a LOT more divided opinion amongst fans other than the majority simply still hating Abby by the end of the existing sequel.

I can't wait for season 2 to dropp to see this bullsh** actually being displayed in a TV show 🤣

They should’ve waited to kill Joel at the end of the game so they could’ve made a 3rd game about Abby/Ellie revenge story. I feel like Ellie and Joel still had many adventures and stories together before this. The series needed to be a trilogy anyways. There’s no better zombie franchise than maybe resident evil/cod zombies. They ruined an original story with killing off the protagonist too early.

I love how much these games show how beautiful the world is but also how utterly brutal

The fact that i dont even play or watch the last of us and this just made me teary, proves what the show is 😢

When i played this game,i let abby die mutiples times to rat king,i was so fucking happy seeing her die,(also i replayed mutiple times wen ellie was torturing nora,10 to 15 times)

If they do this in the series, I'm gonna have a hard time being interested in it. The whole thing is about the relationship between Joel and Ellie.

Not killing Abby was like taking a shit on everything this game and its predecessor built up. We LOVED Joel, we SAVED Abby, we saw Joel and Ellie GROW. And the game decides to sell out this perfect motive for revenge for some half-baked idea of "violence bad" by completely gutting Ellie's character and reasoning.
Maybe the developers should have looked at the fans before deciding Eelie would have a sudden change of heart after killing dozens, if not HUNDREDS of people trying to get to Abby. But when she did, suddenly it dawns on her what she did? When facing the culprit of it and the killer of her dad, THEN she decided violence isn't the answer???
F*ck you, Naghty Dog, just like you said "F*ck you" to the players and viewers. Very sincerely, F*ck You.

The can fuxk theme selfs. ! You can’t even kill Abby at the end !!why they killed Joel !!

The thing is, in the cutscene where Ellie finds him beaten, we’re led to think that this is from Ellie’s POV. But, when Abby gives him one final whack with the club, *we* are the ones who hear the ringing.

This implies that the cutscene was actually seen from *Joel’s* POV, and that he was conscious for a few seconds after getting his skull caved in. This scene is absolutely horrifying.

When at the end of the game I think that it isn't worth killing Abby. But everytime I see this scene my hatred for Abby reawakens and every fiber of my being wants her dead.

I finally beat the first (awesome) game and thinking of getting this one, is it worth playing? Having a job and family, I don’t get a whole lot of playtime, so whatever game I get next I hope to be pretty good
