i9 Voice Changer is an inexpensive option with a lot of uses at around $25. In this video we show how to connect to your gaming console / gaming system. I connect the i9 to a PS4 in this example.

MY REVIEW AND INSIGHTS:
This voice changer actually works fairly well. And should be a core go-to for inexpensive voice changing capabilities for costume integration, gaming, etc.

They designed it to integrate with various devices, including your phone, Xbox, PlayStation etc.

It’s Far superior to the Halloween store voice changers. Any of those I’ve tried had limited features, and were mostly indecipherable.

HOW TO CONNECT DEVICES:

- TO OUTPUT TO A PHONE OR GAME SYSTEM:
— FOR A 3.5MM HEADSET (headphones + mic combo) - plug into the “Headset” port on bottom; & plug your Phone, game console, or other 2 way devices into “Live1” or “Live2” ports on top using the i9 provided TRRS 3.5mm cable. This allows you to hear your changed voice. (Alternatively you can plug into Mic & Headset ports for the same experience, OR plug into Mic and Live2 - though via live2 you will NOT hear your changed voice).
— FOR A USB HEADSET - use a USB to 3.5mm converter - if your converter splits into mic and headphones then you’ll also need a male mic and male headphones to a single TRRS 3.mm male converter cable.
- note for iPhones/iPads - you’ll need an iPhone to 3.5mm female converter to connect to your 3.5mm TRRS line that goes into the “Live” port.
-- FOR USB OR WIRELESS - Possible Alternative - (I've not tried it myself) You 'should' be able to use a USB hub or Docking Station with 3.5mm port - these must be connected to a different computer (not your destination device like PS4 or Gaming PC) so it can do the any necessary conversion. You "Might" be able to use a USB powered Hub with Built-in soundcard without a PC, but I'm not sure on that. Alternatively you could a Digital to Analog Converter if you can find one that accepts USB Audio as an input.

- TO OUTPUT TO AN AMPLIFIER/SPEAKER: A dedicated Mic goes in the mic port on top & an amplified speaker goes into “headset” port on bottom. For the speaker you must use a TRRS cable - those are the types if cables that came with the i9 (3 plastic separators & 4 metal sections on the 3.5 mm tip).
