im currently learning pipa aswell, ugh its literally so heavy and sometimes it just slips a lot. pipa is def a very traditional Chinese instrument tho, it has soothing sounds aswell.

The pipa is almost like my family legacy at the point. My mom started learning the pipa at 14 with the best teacher in her province but since she started too late she didn't get too far, but was good enough to play both of the pieces mentioned after 20 years.
