How come the submarine isn't bending as superman is applying upward pressure over a very small area? Similar yet more realistic situation was demonstrated in Supergirl series as she was trying to pull from its front side, making this section completely separate while leaving the rest of the ship in place.

I was sceptical about Tyler's Superman at first - the CW shows are mostly just too silly for me, and when he first appeared I was still really hoping for a proper 'Man of Steel' sequel with Henry Cavill. But I have to say, from what I've seen of this show, he's really good in this role, and the action scenes look great.
