This is exactly what I have been looking for. I have practiced my groove, and staying in time non stop for so long that’s cake now, but my fills are lacking and I really wasn’t sure where to begin past triplets, and Bonham triplets.
ОтветитьI would have called these fills but I prefer the term "chops" sounds so much cooler. Totally agree with Jared about practice, it's to do with vision, when you start you only want to do the next thing but the more you learn the more you realise there is to learn so you start to feel like you're getting behind. If you're pushing for perfection you'll always feel inferior.
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьI’m 39 years old. And although I’ve played guitar and bass for 20 years, I never played the drums. I finally bought a set last week. And the progress I have made by using Jared’s videos is unbelievable. What a fantastic tutor.
ОтветитьLove the ribbing from the peanut gallery - the team is great! And Jared is sassier than usual - always so good at taking the thoughts we often hear for ourselves & moving us right along through & past them. "What? Used to not be into chops? No no no, we're here for today. Today, we do chops."
Rock on, fam. ❤
Any one can play this with tuition from a drum teacher its nothing to be afraid of
ОтветитьTHAT WAS HARD
ОтветитьFound this very helpful thank you and you break it down so it's simple to understand amazing 😊
ОтветитьGreat. Thank you sir
ОтветитьYou are best teacher
ОтветитьThanks a lot!
ОтветитьHow did I never think to learn chops. For the longest time I've felt like I was stuck in the same "I can play drums" but still feel like I'm barely doing anything with the kit or ignoring parts of it. Sure I can drum along to some songs, but am I able to just mess around and play and have it not be really simple stuff? Nope. Chops baby. Gotta learn them. Thank you.
ОтветитьVery xool
ОтветитьI’m interested to learn.
ОтветитьI need that shirt !!
ОтветитьLet's hear the control room educate
ОтветитьSorry Jared. Dude telling you that this would not in any way be valuable for "beginners" was right, and you're flat out wrong. This is just you showing some basic stuff YOU can play while everybody else just watches. There's no learning value here (other than the first 2 fills maybe). Maybe actually TRY TO TEACH people if that's what you say you're going to do??
ОтветитьGood God 🙏
Ответитьnnniicee
ОтветитьSarah Thawers intro was so f-ing sick
ОтветитьNext step get drums lol
Ответитьesteparios snare is just crazy 😭 i love it so much
ОтветитьDrums like any work of art, isn’t something you will know fully at 100%. It’s something you will always learn from, always be humbled by, and always find joy as if you’d just mastered something again and the fulfillment that brings. Because you won’t ever run out of things to master or learn on the drums. And the more you learn and master, the more fulfilling it is. Regardless if you play in front of thousands of adoring fans or by yourself in a basement, playing drums to music that inspires you and makes you happy, there’s no better feeling than that, other than maybe the birth of a child :) so if you love music, this will undoubtably fulfill you in ways you didn’t know possible, as long as you take the time to learn and always improve, always be willing to be uncomfortable until that becomes comfortable, and repeat… You will feel joy!
ОтветитьLove it bro👊🏾🙂👍🏾;i'll get it day by day, thanks!
ОтветитьPlaying the drums is like a whole exercise
ОтветитьLearning chops helps developing better time on subdivisions, limb independence and flow around the kit. Not to mention creativity and confidence behind kit. There's literally no reason to start learning them from day 1 (along with other stuff)
Ответитьthanks for your teaching begginer clearly
ОтветитьSo wonderful I enjoyed it
ОтветитьSo, 'chops' means 'skill'?
ОтветитьThis is actually fun but hard to learn for beginners like myself. I only started learning yesterday for a group assessment but I didn't know that it'll make me want to learn more
ОтветитьThis is for beginners? 🥲
ОтветитьYou are a good drummer , and also love the drumming❤
ОтветитьYou didn't use calculus because you didn't learn it. I don't play drums because I didn't learn it.
ОтветитьIm 63 and excited. I get my drums kit this week. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьI love hoe the chops are ordered in difficulty, a great practice routine!
Love all the lessons you guys
Ok I think 4 days into drumming was a bit ambitious for me to try these out. But I know I can work my way up to these eventually! I almost got the first one down after an hour of practice, so I know I'll be able to get the rest with more practice!
ОтветитьI loved it
ОтветитьIt good to learn practical
Ответитьhaha nice shirt!
ОтветитьNicee Chops men
ОтветитьThanks bro l really appreciate your lesson it really helped me here in Zimbabwe (more chops please) you are also my drum model
ОтветитьWhen did "fills" become "chops"?
ОтветитьFor beginners ...?
Ответитьyou're a real drum teacher
Ответитьthis ain't for begginers, but fun, it also encourages me (only because I play hard parts at 0,5x)😅
ОтветитьSuper ❤
ОтветитьI’m learning how to play drums, and I wonder if I’ll be a natural because maybe me and Jared are some how related. Our last name👀
