ОтветитьArcade 要重建
ОтветитьThe Arcade is still open and kicking! Is the building beside The Arcade that is under construction. Haha don't anyhow say the place close, else another CSJ situation 😅
ОтветитьWelly nice video. I have seen some sooo high people there in the past.
ОтветитьHi Hong i recommend u going to the Peranakan Museum…I got shock when the Emerald Hill drama’s costumes were there
ОтветитьI remember at one point of time, only 2 countries in the world required no Visa to enter North Korea, that is SG and Malaysia, not sure the reason though. SG has always maintained proper relationship with every country in the world, including North Korea, that why Kim felt safe to meet Trump in SG. I like the Art "Museum" too with the uncle's information n stories .. and my most beloved painting is also the "Rats steal egg"! Curry puffs look like the illegal hawker type sold outside MRT stations or at bus interchanges in the past with a harder crust, that's my preferred type. Lastly, just curious what trade were u in last time? Sorry if it's too depressing to recall .. come, I help u wipe your tears! LOL.
ОтветитьLove the introduction and background research! Cool knowledge
Ответить那個海南鷄飯的配菜,是海南雜菜。這裏的莫瑞記,不是原來在Middle Road的瑞記。要找以前的瑞記,就要去Senai了。
ОтветитьRemember another building beside it used to let people change IC when you reach a certain age.
ОтветитьGui Fu Ren used to be the facial place my mum visited. I couldn't remember exactly where it was. It was in an old building around there. Might be Peninsula or this High Street Centre. As I waited for her I would roam about in the mall I could still remember a jean ad pasted on a glass panel of a topless Ang mo lady wearing a jean. It filled me with wonder.
ОтветитьThat view of Clarke Quay at the end is insane. Would be even more epic at night
Ответить身为一个新加坡人太喜欢你的介绍! 感恩❤

ОтветитьPlease ignore if you cannot take feedback. Could you please make a decision and stick to 1 langauge. I find the toggling of 2 languages annoying.
ОтветитьPlease support local artists , thank you for the video !
ОтветитьWell, "High Street" in the UK refers to the main commercial and retail street in a town or city. The origin of the name comes from the historical significance of "high" as a descriptor for the main thoroughfare, which was often elevated in status or physically higher in elevation than surrounding streets. Which is why there used to be so many malls, until they were relocated to Orchard Road. That’s why until today, there’s High Street London, High Street Oxford, etc.
Last but not least, the word “high” comes from the Old English “heah”. Heah means “most important” as well as “most elevated in the sense of geographical position.” The use of “heah” to refer to an important street dates back to the 14th century. You can see a similar usage in terms like “High King”, or “High Court”.
I think the Nokia phone you were refering to "G-Shock of Phones" is supposed to be 3310.
3210 was the 1st phone without the antenna sticking out i think. Haha
Stopped omg 😂
ОтветитьSaw you at Senja Cashew CC hosting as MC of an event. :D
ОтветитьThank you Ah Hong & jie jie for bringing me to a place I never for a long long time.
Ответитьthanks very much, ah hong & Jie Jie for the interesting history re high st.
Watching yr show is not only fun but we learn something of our sg history, too.
flying saucer : didn’t know we can go up to visit!?
Never had left any comment in any YT vids before. Subscribed due to an accidental pop up and I must say the old featured malls brought backs many strolls down memory lanes. The content is easy to digest, lighthearted and informative with just the right amount of humour and my era lingo like “Chi Ba Bom” haha who would have tor 😂 Anyway do keep up the good work which is very much appreciated.
Also curiosity kills the cat, hope that Salon gets featured sometimes. Jie Jie have a very much a creative and imaginative persona. Would scratch my itch in the back of my brain to know what horoscope she belongs to?
