The Boom plane looks similar to the Concorde, and has no similarity to the X-59. I have no confidence that it will be quiet enough to meet the requirements of the law.
The X-59 provides a lesson in reducing the volume of the sonic boom, but it gives no incites into how to design an aircraft with a large enough passenger compartment to make a profit.
I see no path that can be taken which could marry the two requirements in one airliner, quietness, as exemplified by the X-59, and profitable capacity, as exemplified by every sub-sonic airliner.
