Im 5-7 minutes in and I definetely don't agree with Ephey
Her recommendations are good for a high level match where the builds are considered during drafting. Instead I can see a fast aeo heal rush agains invoker luna is super valuable, and self dispell from BH track too. Shard is definetely super valuable y specially when there is a sb in your team, but force staff really seems like having bad value regardin the picks and the skill bracket: the invoker bh void can definetely chase down whoever is forced back, unless some superior communication+positioning is going on, which would never happen in a solo ranked legend game.
Baseline is, her advice is not adapted, and adapting your build is a major factor of playing dota correctly

Lol Grubby tried to say he has to buy offlane items on a pos4 and Ephey had none of it. She pretty much said if you bought Aghanim you probably win instead of guardians :D

aeon disk is a luxury item on supports.

grubby likes to build it early on most of his supports games, but you have to remember, after like 12-15 mins your life as a support barely matters. protecting your cores has way more value than you surviving the fight and getting 1-2 spells off because of aeon.

so a force/glimmer is 90% of the more valueable than an aeon. you would have spent less gold AND you would have gold for buyback. So you can safe your core, die, buyback and join the fight again. not even talking about the octatine core which is completely out of line

oh grubby btw if youre still on this serious learning vibe i would recommend some of henrys (rawdota) old coaching videos from about 2 years ago

it might be a controversial recommendation as a lot of people in community dont like him because a) he is toxic in pubs (flaming smurfing etc.) and b) he peaked rank wise i think at like rank 200 iirc but he had an ego like he was a pro player which he couldnt justify skill wise

buut i think in terms of pure coaching, ive never seen anyone be able to articulate big picture concepts of dota and relate them to matchup specifics in the same way

he isnt very active now i think because of depression that he has mentioned before but if you dont mind the content being on an old patch i cannot recommend him more highly. he was waay ahead of bsj teaching wise back then and even 2 years on bsj is just catching up to the standard he set. "How To CARRY LIKE A SMURF and DESTROY GAMES with 1 CONCEPT" is a good start quite short too

I understand pros helped grubby and that was helpful, but I am pretty sure Grubby will take over these NA immortals in no time. So Ephey being a person who got really popular with her voice (and she being a woman in DOTA scene), I hope Grubby dont get too exiceted and implement everything she said...

It's such a shame Grubby didn't let her coach with Earth Spirit. I think it would suit Grubby's pos 4 play style and she's one of the most suitable coaches for the hero since she plays him a lot at a high level. I myself climbed my way to Divine just spamming Earth Spirit.

@Grubby Some OG advice (thousands and thousands of dota 1 games, heroes like Invoker did not exist yet):

Try less strategic (macro & theory, wc3 style) and play more instinctive (micro).

Also take the 12345 roles with a grain of salt until you are in top leagues. In these mediocre leagues just dominate everyone. Always. All the time. With any hero. Like a true dota gosu. Break their mental. Low level dota players generally have weak mentality and give up & rage after being outplayed once or twice.

I love your Sven support. This is true dota.

Final point, Ephey is right. Dieing is NOT ok. Never. Aim for 25/0 always. (Except high level games)
