I live next door to a cow
ОтветитьNice Apollo
ОтветитьThis outfit fucking slayed and the background fit perfectly. Absolutely enamoured by the pretty colours the whole video
ОтветитьThanks for covering this. I know never to watch this show now.
ОтветитьDon’t even care who was Gossip Girl. I stopped watching as soon as Blair and Dan became a thing. Absolutely not.
Ответитьi hated jenny because jenny was with g and Vanessa when they drugged serena and made her OD and be put into a psych ward
Ответитьi love ur dog
ОтветитьSo about the wall, it may have been an homage to Dangerous Liaisons or Cruel Intentions, both of which also featured a Blair-like character (Kathryn/Mme. Merteuil) with deep blue walls. I could be wrong tho.
ОтветитьThe books were a lot better (obligatory snob comment) and i'm going to see that dance in my head every time i re-watch the show (which is one of my go-to nostalgia shows). For which I genuinely thank you
ОтветитьI was drawn in by the pilot of the OC. It seemed like it was going to show something about the class divide. And then it quickly just became about seeing teen girls in their underwear.. :/
ОтветитьSPOILER

I only ever saw the first episode and I thought … it’s Dan. Then I accidentally saw a spoiler that it was Dan. Then I heard that it wasn’t originally gonna be Dan. And I was like.. what??
thank u for defending jenny!!! shes also one of my fav characters and i will always defend her with my life
ОтветитьThis outfit would be so ugly on literally anyone. How on EARTH can you rock it so well? Genious. Simly. Genious.
ОтветитьRemember Chuck's amnesia storyline? haha
ОтветитьTara mooKNEES
ОтветитьHaven‘t even watched the video but I LOVE the intro
ОтветитьThe choir lives rent free
ОтветитьOk so I've never watched the show but why does Chuck sound and look exactly like Ben Shapiro?
ОтветитьI profoundly disagree with this analysis and I hope you realize many others will as well. Every season of this show is phenomenal for dramas, which usually become too soapy.
ОтветитьI’m sorry, I’m gonna have to rewind to listen to the opening again, because I’m obsessed with that dress and those dance moves!
ОтветитьI think it might be harder for the kids today who weren't teens when GG was airing to understand what the show meant in the context of its time.
I'd say that the show actually brought up a lot of serious topics that weren't represented all that much in media at the time, and even if it didn't delve deep into it to the degree that one might expect today, it still had a massive impact on young people then.
I loved GG and would religiously watch every new episode each week. In many ways I think it planted many seeds for me to grow as I got older, because it made me question what real friendship, romantic partnership and familiar relationships, even work life relationships, should be like.
It also showed a lot of the dark truths about growing up, which is that coming into your own is already hard enough, but there are also people out there who are willing to exploit those who are vulnerable, especially teenage girls. If I hadn't been familiarised with SA as a thing that happens to many people, rich or poor, I think I would've felt much worse when it happened to me years later. There's something about the way it presents sexuality as a good thing, but also shows that SA can happen regardless of whether or not you "put out" because it's about the perpetrator being a bad person and not you, that solidified in me as a teen. Later on I could also relate heavily to their feelings of distress when it came to choosing their own paths in life in relation to expectations, education and work, which was in many ways represented in the show.
Yes of course it's a shame that they changed the screen writer and the overall quality of the show went down, because there was definitely an opportunity to delve even deeper into relevant topics.
Could it have been better? Yes. But I am thankful for what it was, and honestly it's still entertaining to this day.
Though I think we can all agree that the ending of S2 should've been the true ending, and that the wardrobe for the show was amazing!
Go piss girl
Ответитьvery minor opposed to your (very good and well done) criticisms of the show but "at least the french revolution had cake"??? It like, famously didn't, that's what the quote is about, she says "let them eat cake" to make up for the lack of bread, unaware of the fact that without bread they can't have cake because she's rich as fuck and there's a huge class desparity, which they made up for by killing her
ОтветитьLet's ignore the fact that Sherlock's character boils down to one concept as well.
Ответитьalso all hail the cow ™
Ответитьi was a little too young to watch gossip girl when it came out but this has been a great overview thank you
ОтветитьAnd the fact that alot of people to this day stan chuck and blair (&ship them together) while they also pretend to be feminist is just 🤢
ОтветитьI remember watching this with my spouse and saying "wow, everyone here is scum" after every episode.
Ответитьmy real question is how did the cow write this video if she never watched the show
ОтветитьMy favourite was also Jenny, especially when she became edgy, Blair was always a villain to me, and Never cared about Dan or Serena.
They did her dirty, stopped watching after she left the show
omg your outfit looks amazing!!
ОтветитьOh my gaaawwd, it's Noel Fielding 😍
ОтветитьYour pet is sooo confused 😂
ОтветитьAny chance of a new channel that just has videos of you dancing while dressed as various colours?
ОтветитьJenny was always my favorite I never understood the vitriol in the fans directed towards her once i found out about it- I still liked Blair's insane ass so how could I condemn jenny for literally anything lol
ОтветитьEveryone say “hi siggy”
ОтветитьThis show sounds psychotic. Nothing more, nothing less. 😐
ОтветитьStron-oww
ОтветитьTBH we came for the commentary and stayed for Siggy.
Ответитьgreat video! never get the cow thing, tho
ОтветитьI love this person, look, background, uuggh perfection!
ОтветитьIt was feminist?? At all?
Sorry, writing before watching the video.
I hated the show, barely finished one season.
Mook yeah!
ОтветитьYour dancing is iconic!
ОтветитьI subbed explicitly because of your poofy purple dress.
Ответить
