PS - Jude still has NO teeth! You don’t need any teeth to start BLW :) Also, I’ve linked everything I’ve mentioned in the description including the starting solids course, high chair, plates we use, etc for anyone getting started! 🥰
ОтветитьSorry, I’m a first time and super confused and need help on a question.. 😅
I thought we could I my feed them purées? And once they’re 8-9months introduce them to solids? Am I wrong? Or how does it work? I’m so confused
Cant he choke on it the pieces are to big? Or no?
But how do you look so put together on a Saturday morning at 7am. I look like a zombie still at that time with my 6mo
ОтветитьI'm also about to take apart his babybay maxi and holding back tears. Time flew too fast. Just wanted to say thank you for introducing me to the babybay. It was one of my VERY favourite purchases for my baby. Its beautiful and so well made. Love that it rolls around. Its expensive but I felt great putting my money into a company that I believe in and not made in china. I'm jealous that yours still looks light/white, mine has sliiiiiightly yellowed from the sun exposure in our bedroom (we do get a lot of light). For anyone considering the babybay bassinet, just DO IT!
ОтветитьI’m having a frozen embryo transfer tomorrow. Looking at your little baby, i am so excited and so happy ! I can’t wait to take care of my own baby
ОтветитьHi there! How do you gauge if baby is ready to start having solids based on how well they’re able to sit unassisted? When placing my baby on the floor, he definitely is not able to bring himself to a seated position, and is only able to remain seated when I let go for like a second or 2. But, he has very good neck strength and is always on his tummy. He’s able to sit in a high chair though. Is it necessary that they can sit on the floor unassisted too before starting? He’s already 6.5 months now and I’ve just started him on purées because I’m nervous he’ll choke since he can’t sit on his own yet.
ОтветитьAnnoying video. You take way too long to talk about BLW. Half your video is promoting crap. And no one cares about your sitting area
ОтветитьI did blw with my first and now my second just started but I'm being nervous now bc he eats chunks of food
ОтветитьEating like animals 😅😅
ОтветитьI'd avoid kiwi and peanut butter in the same meal for intros as kiwi is not a common allergen but one that can be severe on the first exposure.
ОтветитьTHIS IS SO HELPFULL!! Thanks
ОтветитьYou’re giving your baby quite a few things for the first time together- if they have a reaction you won’t know which food it was. When introducing foods - do them one at a time. My LO had a rash after kiwi for the first time but we knew straight away as it was the only new thing she’d had.
ОтветитьIsn't egg an allergic food which we introduce much much later?? I hear it for the first time that a 6 month baby eats egg...
ОтветитьIt was helpful to see how you prepared the foods and the different types of foods that can be introduced. And the app recommendation is helpful. But I do think that a single allergen should be introduced for 3-5 days before introducing another allergen. It is more likely that if they are going to have an allergic reaction that they would have it on the second or third time of eating a food.
ОтветитьThis is not for 6 months this is like for a 10 month babies don't have teeth
ОтветитьIs there an actual list of the 100 foods before 1? If so please link.
ОтветитьWhere did you get your necklace from?
ОтветитьThank you very much for this video.
ОтветитьThis is so overwhelming! I hate cooking to and terrified of her choking
ОтветитьHi Beth, did you speak to your midwife about your milk supply dropping around your cycle time? Mine drops to almost nothing 2 weeks before my cycle starts and it takes a week or 2 to get back to normal. 😢
ОтветитьI am a first time mom to a 7 month old and have been trying babyled weaning but have been so lost…this is definitely the most helpful video I’ve seen so far
ОтветитьCan you share how you got to only 1 night feed at 6 months whilst still breastfeeding? My baby is 6 months today and only sleeps 2 hours at a time once a night, and then is up every hour to feed back to sleep 🥲
Ответить❤❤❤where is your necklace from!??? ❤❤❤
ОтветитьOh tks for info mommy keep healty
ОтветитьI love the happy healthy eaters course! I had seen your daughters BLW videos when I was pregnant and was so happy you suggested it cause now we are starting off so much more confident with my 6 month old 🥰 also our little boy has been the same with reflex and development!! Tummy time was so hard and now he loves to roll around on his belly and is starting to do so much movement without spit up 🙌❤
ОтветитьThis video was so helpful. My baby is 7 months old and we started solids last month. Also had so many fears of what she can and cant eat. Sometimes she just doesnt want to eat a meal because she is full from breastmilk and then I stress when she skips a meal that shes not getting in what she should. This video and reading comments by other mommies made me feel more relaxed
ОтветитьGreat ideas, thank you
ОтветитьThe bassinet might be worth it if you're in the USA or get it gifted, but to get it to Canada, its costs over $1,000!
ОтветитьI would love a video of some meal ideas for babies!!
ОтветитьI feel like you definitely hit on all the good stuff!!
ОтветитьI loved this Thankyou! How do you do baby led if you’re out and about? Especially as they get a bit older? Do you have snack boxes or heat things up? Also at what age do you introduce snacks like veggie sticks? Thankyou! ❤
ОтветитьThis is so helpful! I have a 7mo old and we have been doing BLW for about a month but not nearly as much as I would like to. It's hard to include her in our meal times because they are always during her naps. My husband also works in ministry so we're very busy with youth group, life group, church, meeting with people, etc. Right now I've only been able to give her solids a few times a week as it's been hard to make it a routine. Mom guilt is real but this was so helpful and encouraging to see.
ОтветитьWe’ve been struggling to have tummy time (and honestly just being horizontal period!) with reflux too! Great to hear from someone on the other end to know we'll get there too 🤗
ОтветитьThanks for this video, it is so helpful. My baby is now 4 months and this video is a good prep for when we begin BLW.
ОтветитьWe follow the motto "food before one is just for fun" in order to prioritize breastmilk. We go super slow, but BLW has been great for our kids. MOST of my five kids are great eaters. 😂 Our number 4 broke the mold in many ways, including being our only picky eater! This is my favorite phase of babyhood. It is so fun to see little ones find new favorites.
ОтветитьCan Jude already sit up by himself? Just wondering because I guess that’s necessary for him to sit up the right way.
ОтветитьYou already gave birth 6 months ago? 😱😱😱 time is flying 😩
ОтветитьThe only thing I would disagree with would be giving 2 new foods in the same meal, eg kiwi and peanut butter. If he were to react you wouldn’t necessarily know what it was 😊
ОтветитьOne thing I️ get scared is when they take too big of a bite. Is that normal and do you let him take control when that happens?
ОтветитьStarted our son on solids at 6 months and three months deep into it I’m running out of meal ideas…mainly because I’m bored of the meals I make for us adults.
ОтветитьYes to the daily meals!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this was so helpful. We’ve been doing baby led weaning for a few months now and my son eats so many foods! The solid starts app looks great and I can feel better with how I prepare and cut foods so he’s not gagging or choking. Such helpful tips, thank you! Good luck on your journey ❤
ОтветитьThank you 4r sharing.i struggling with my toddler coz I gave her pureed now she is not good eater she is so fussy eater..☹I'm regerting not interduceing her baby led weaning
ОтветитьPerfect timing! My little one just turned 6 months and I've been so fearful to do the BLW route, and have only been giving her purees but this video was super helpful! 😊 Thanks Beth! 🤍
ОтветитьThis was soooooo helpful! I’m starting solids in a few months and will definitely be referring back to this video!
