Trying to achieve a BLACK METAL Sound with the Boss HM-2 (Stacked)

SD+HM-2+Palmer sounds like bees fighting angry ducks to me😂 I don‘t listen to real black metal but I rather prefer BM mixed with other genres into Blackened Hardcore for example. This is definitely not a tone I would go for, personally. Thanks for showing us, though.

With the KMA Wurm I think it's very easy to get an HM- 2 oriented Black Metal Sound. :-)

I actually prefer to blend the HM-2 with the amp's distortion. I think it sounds better and is more defined.

also filosofem tone is hm2 + stereo system no amp used

I honestly think the best BM tone was just the palmer itself.

Works great for BM. Used it on a lot of projects, usually with a Tubescreamer and through an Orange for more fuzz.

Thanks so much Dome! I actually asked this question in one of your older videos about using the HM2 for black metal, and your demonstration showed a harsh grind tone which certainly can work for black metal. Btw your tremelo picking with that tone reminds me of early Immortal before - Demonaz essentially obliterated his arm with tendonitis from playing so fast! Respect Sir!
