Great Vid pitit❤ O make different types of legim legim militon and carrot with morou some tomato for color. Legim militon, cabbage, eggplant spinach and watercress topped off with mixed vegetables any meat beef, pork and that is it for me. When I am done I squeeze lime juice or add pikliz for acid and heat. That piman is key
ОтветитьMercy Cherie for showing the struggling ones how to make this.
😊
I trying it today
ОтветитьI want to say, thank you so much for this video. It was so detailed from start to finish. The legume was perfect. It was my first time making it and I was very happy with the results
ОтветитьGlad to know were your mom restaurant is in Nassau am bahamian but l love haitian food
ОтветитьI knew you was a BaHatian! 🇭🇹🇧🇸
ОтветитьThis stew is so good over rice and as you said most Haitian restaurants make it oily but when you cook it you can make it better!! I cooked this as a Bahamian where I loved it so much and shared it with some Haitian co workers and they said you are now in the Haitian family!! it was really good! us Bahamians can cook anything you show us and add out own seasonings to make it perfect! Great video Sis!
ОтветитьNo spinach?
ОтветитьYes, legume on Sundays😍😍😍
ОтветитьI am going to try this recipe when I get home and let you know how it came out.
ОтветитьMmaannnn!!! I followed your recipe and my GOD!! It came out AMAZING!!!! Great job!! Thank you!! Everyone loved it!!!
ОтветитьAnother awesome video with plenty of nuggets. I know how to make legume but I definitely picked up some value in this video. I love the final step to introduce the tomato paste with the meat followed by the cooked veggies. I think you nailed it. This will be my Sunday dinner as I attempt to recreate your recipe. I really love your videos and all the tips you give to ensure success. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьStop talking shit about your own ppl. I’m Haitian I don’t use a lot of butter. Just do your thing and fermer diol kakaw la
ОтветитьThis look so good & I can’t wait to try it! I did good on my first attempt but didn’t have the color. However, I prefer to add water cress & spinach to it cause I grew up on it. I’m gonna hold on the papaya until I master it. Can I add it during the step when you added the 2nd pair of carrots?
ОтветитьWhat was the total cook time?
ОтветитьI watched a couple of videos yours is the best thanks
ОтветитьBeautiful recipe. Belle bagay had to come back and comment. So authentic tasting like my moms 🥹😅

ОтветитьCan't wait to try your recipe I love legume!!!
ОтветитьI can't find a green papaya anywhere. Do I have to have it.
ОтветитьNextime I will add papaya and fry the tomatoes paste
ОтветитьI just followed your instructions last night and made this dish for my Haitian BF and he was impressed.
Your tutorial is very easy to follow and I know a couple more trys and it will as if I'm Hatian thank you!!!!!!
I made this recipe minus the papaya and let me tell you it came out so good!!! My family loved it.
Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I enjoyed listening to you! Definitely looking forward to try this 😄
ОтветитьYou said "traditional Haitian Legume" but included a whole other meat with the recipe which is sacrilege for me and should have instead say "this too can be used ..." with whichever you want. The meat traditionally used for this recipe authentically is cube beef and blue crab. Sazon is not a part of traditional Haitian cooking but may be included as an option. Papaya is not traditionally used in this recipe nor tomatoes but since you stated where you and your mom lived and grew up and see where the influence is coming from so it's not traditional (and should re phrase that term). It looks ok and love your enthusiasm. Don't mind me, I'm just a stickler for our traditional authentic home cooking!
ОтветитьI made it !!!! it was sooo good this man ate almost half the pot. I cut the recipe in half but I should’ve made more 😅
ОтветитьThis looks sooooo delicious. I can't wait to make it. What brand butter do you use?
ОтветитьBon bagay net net net!😅
ОтветитьI’ve watched the whole video.. and I can’t wait to try this thank you so much
ОтветитьYeahh it does be oily also on the spaghetti
ОтветитьSaving this!!! And I definitely agree with the point you made about using so much oil!! Omg I hate it!!😭 definitely trying your method.. thanks for the video❤❤

ОтветитьGreat tip for the egg plant 😊
ОтветитьMy made made it on Sunday
Ответитьthis is your next recipe I’m making 🤤
ОтветитьWhat a fantastic stew recipe! Really appreciate how you chopped everything up in the pan, much tidier that way. The fresh vegetables from your garden make it special for sure. All the healthy ingredients that are so flavorful makes this dish a wonderful treat.
ОтветитьVery nicely explainded thank you
ОтветитьThank you nice ❤♥️♥️♥️
ОтветитьI plan on making this but the tomato and the oil is gonna be my first step instead of taking out the meat and veggies and doing that... how comes some legume is green and some look brown??
ОтветитьI feel like my mom made this! You made it exactly like her! Yum!
ОтветитьNice, my grandmother also adds blue crab into it
ОтветитьLooks Amazing...
Been eating Legumes since 1998 and it is STILL my favorite dish of All the Foods I have Ever tasted!!!
