Drugs are bad kids, just say no.
ОтветитьLooks more like a giant ancient bottle opener that's awkward and crooked.
ОтветитьThis isn't too far removed from the "wrench" that comes with the Prusa MK4 kit, the MK4 isn't quite as elaborate though :-).
ОтветитьI love your channel and watching your videos but I have to ask a question on this one. Why leave the transfer paper on instead of electo etching the design onto the metal so you don’t have to worry about the paper moving?
ОтветитьIf Ikea did kit cars this is the tool they would provide 100%
ОтветитьIt's......Its....It's Gorgeous 😊😅
ОтветитьCould it have been invented as a means to sue for patent infringement? If someone else ever made something like our current multitools, that would have actually worked and sold, but that, in theory, or by description, would have allowed him to sue.
I know there's currently an idiot out there who patents all kinds of ideas, only intending to sue anyone he thinks has infringed on his patents long after they establish themselves, and usually settling out of court. To my knowledge, he has never made or sold anything.
I always wondered why my dad kept asking me to find specific sockets for different bolts and nuts, instead of just using an aligator wrench.
ОтветитьThat's the same Wrench that came with My Ford Model T Tool Roll Kit.
ОтветитьThat's a very nice Wrench but I already got one. At Harbor Freight.
ОтветитьEVIL A.I. Designed Wrench!
ОтветитьYour Wrench Shape is Making My Brain Hurt. Are You related to Wile E. Coyote?
ОтветитьMan be pushing his "CNC", to the limit.
Push it to the limit 🎵🎶🎵
But does it have a bottle opener? 😂
ОтветитьInteresting to see that Lovense machine repurposed as a power file.
ОтветитьI know a couple of blacksmiths who occasionally make octagonal fasteners. They are quick and easy to make on a forge. Much easier than hex heads, and doable without a swage.
ОтветитьI wonder if some of those slots on the bottom of the scale setting slot could have been used to twist fence wire. Maybe it was supposed to be a tool to keep on you on the farm
ОтветитьLazer cut? if u had to do it again?
ОтветитьAlso doubles as a fractal antenna for cel phone ;-)
ОтветитьNow that the public is aware, what'll you bet a cheap-o china version will be the As Seen On TV product.
ОтветитьThe fanciest bottle opener I've ever seen😆
Ответить...and then came the vise-grip.
ОтветитьI think the two notch socket on the lower right was for a specific inverted bolt i have only seen twice, but which would bolt into the end of a metal or wood rod and hold conduction wires in place, as far as the odd one to the left of it (in the nook of the handle connection) that may actually be part and parcel with the large octo slot on the handle, with the octo slot actually being the hub of a specialized engine cover with an extra wide, ridged, flange. Thus letting the wrench possibly lock down an entire side of the cap and give leverage after loosening. Some of the other configurations seem familiar, but i cannot place them as clearly, however some slots may be clearance for things like caps that screwed down over electrical connectors…
ОтветитьHi Anthony Sullivan here for the mega wrench.
ОтветитьDrugs are bad mmmkay
Ответить=/
Ответитьuh! a bottle cap opener! :D
ОтветитьEasier to cast then re-fine rather than mill completely ??
ОтветитьIf you make it, will they buy?
(Answer: Oh Hell Yes.)
Someone should make a museum of weird patents, with re-creations like this!
ОтветитьIs the spot at the top of the handle a bottle opener? He was a drunk.
Ответитьyou should make a bolt that fits perfectly into the big hole in the middle so that only that wrench will work on it
ОтветитьI’ve seen one of those somewhere. That’s a a watchamacallit.
ОтветитьThis kind of tool is used for machines that have certain constant bolts. Example, If you work on a Toyota, you will notice that a typical Toyota has only a few size bolts they use all over the vehicle. Lets say for the sake of argument Toyota uses 6 bolts of different sizes. Rather than having two swap out 6 wrenches, you have 1 that does all 6 bolts. That's what I see this kind of tool developed for. Won't work for tight spaces.
ОтветитьWorked at loading rail tanker cars once... They had one of 3 sizes nuts on the lid.. We normally used a pipe wrench to tighten them.. I made a chicken foot looking wrench with 3 sizes in some plate aluminium..
Worked like a charm ...
Sounds like someone made an "one-wrench" challenge and this was the answer. Maybe IKEA should make an all-in-one multi-tool like this.
Ответитьthat might be the dumbest thing ever.... i want one.
Ответитьthat thing is ridiculous
ОтветитьYou couldn't have made that economically in 1919. Today if you wanted to do a production run you'd have to EDM it, and even that isn't a fast process.
ОтветитьI'm fairly certain this is a unique take on "work from the print".
Ответитьthis filled me with so much anxiety while you were doing the initial milling with the paper stuck to the metal. would there have been a way to laser mark out the lines onto the metal so the paper didn't need to be there?
ОтветитьFor that time buddy it was metric..
Ответитьa real skeleton wrench
ОтветитьThis looks like some sort of religious symbol of the engineering cult more than a practical tool.
Make it from Titanium, anodize it, stick it on a dark stained broom handle, and lead the procession to the Holy Work Bench with it.
I have a single Pentagon/pentagram bolt I've found, and I believe it came from my grandpa's military service time. Kept looking for a socket, until I counted 5 sides, not 6
ОтветитьWhen you are creating such a tool could you have used a 3D printer to print a more stable template to actually mill the steel? This way the paper does not keep moving....just curious your thoughts. Cool project
ОтветитьI want to call this a fractal wrench.
Ответитьrandomly popped up on my feed. fastenating
Ответить
