These little irons are interesting, it could be something to keep in my little tool bag or in the truck or lend out if say someone asks me for an iron to borrow.
ОтветитьThey sell an 11W version too. Would you have gotten that instead?
ОтветитьI got a little USB powered 8w soldering iron off ebay for 5 squid a while ago- its pretty decent for light duty soldering
It has a 4.5mm(?) heater element/tip which is a consumable...I tried to source spares and it was a squid cheaper than the entire unit🤦♂️😂
Precise temperature control is a killer feature of ts100-pinecil like smart soldering irons.
ОтветитьHow is it 6 months on?
ОтветитьNow I know all about electronic dice! ...great...
ОтветитьThe first time I used it to test it, it worked, and l was extatic. I thought I had found a soldering iron that I could make small electrical repairs that was short lived. Two months later, when I really needed to use it for a project, this piece of S#%& would not heat up above 78 degrees. What a waste of money, oh and Amazon, and the manufacturer were useless to help correct the problem. I didn't want my money back I wanted them to replace it with one that worked, no luck. DON'T WASTE you money...👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
ОтветитьYou probably know more than me when it comes to soldering but I suggest using rosin. It puts the heat in the right place.
ОтветитьThey definately run hot. I have the same branded in Australia as TOPEX. I did not get a spare tip.
