So even after this 6 intensive years these idiots havent noticed a thing 😂
ОтветитьMoscow on the Hudson starring Robin Williams is such an underrated 1980s movie dealing with Russia vs USA, communism/capitalism, and immigration. A great movie for getting a feel how it felt back then.
Ответитьanother important detail missed:
Cuban missile crisis was because of the Jupiter Missile System installed in Turkey that can hit Moscow

ОтветитьIt's really wild to think that the dismantling of the Soviet Union happened when I was a kid. That's not that long ago.
ОтветитьThere is an argument that the Cold War didn't end in 1991, Russia became a modern era weimar Republic, which many people saw as ineffective with all the economic issues Russia had in the 90s, along came Putin who was a former kgb officer based in Dresden at the fall of the soviet union etc, and seemingly is attempting to rebuild the former soviet union subtly!
ОтветитьI can't help but wonder if Nixon opening China should be viewed in a different light now, 50 years later with the way China has become a powerful adversary, largely on the back of outsourced western industry made possible through the "opening of China". Maybe if the Nixon administration had continued a hard line stance on China we would be in a better position today. If Nixon never "opens China", outsourcing to China never becomes possible, reducing the profiting and IP theft possible in China, slowing their abilities to become an authoritarian adversary.
ОтветитьI really don't get why he keeps repeating that Ukraine is something hotter than what happened during the cold war. In Korea the USSR was arming North Korea to fight American troops. There were even russian pilots flying migs to fight the americans. During vietnam the USSR armed north vietnam to fight the americans. In both conflicts soviet weapons and sometimes even soldiers were killing american soldiers. Then later in afghanistan the US were arming the resistance against the soviets.
The US could send in their airplanes with US pilots into Ukraine to fight the russians and we would still be at a level that we already saw during the cold war.
When did the cold war start? 1945. When did it end? Pending.
ОтветитьDidn't mention Churchill's 'Iron Curtain' speech in the US...........
ОтветитьGreat vid. Would love to see him again.
ОтветитьI don't think you can talk about Russian missiles on Cuba without talking about US missiles that had already been based in Turkey.
Ответитьi have more questions now
ОтветитьNow i can time travel without worry
ОтветитьWhy do you ignore the fact that the US had to dismantle missiles Eisenhower put in Turkey?
ОтветитьIf the U.S. hadn't shown we were willing to fight in Vietnam, of course more countries would have fallen under dictatorship.
ОтветитьWe learned israel is not to be mentioned by cia in a bad lighy
ОтветитьThank you. Well done.
ОтветитьWas that the Sam O'Nella?
Ответитьsomeone get this man some compound lens glasses
ОтветитьThat map of NATO members needs updating
ОтветитьDomino Theory was basically a front for protecting Western oil interests and keeping the $USD the world's reserve currency.
/aaand nothing changes
Domino is only a simplistic theory if you present it as a simplistic theory, the way you did here.
ОтветитьDescribing the planned missle site in Cuba as "a pretty big provocation" is ... a choice, given the US installations in Europe and Turkey. I'd call THAT a provocation.
ОтветитьThat is far too short of a time period for the cold was
The latest I'd label a start is 54, not 60. 54 is when Molotov suggested that NATO invite the Soviet Union.
NATO declined.
The next year the Warsaw Pact was formed.
Many people would label '48 the start with the Air Lift.
I wonder how many secrets the current administration has handed over to Russia so far.
ОтветитьNice to hear history about the Us and the soviet Onion
ОтветитьReally....?
Ответитьtrump is aligned with putin...this man, as interesting & knowledgable as he is, is in denial about his president and the evil of current america
ОтветитьNothing.
Where are the Epstein files?
Just a note because it wasn't mentioned: Gorbachev said one of the final reasons for the fall of the Soviet Union was the Chernobyl disaster and its associated massive political and economic fallout.
Ответитьbringing up the cuban missile crisis as a "provocation" is bad history. the us had an illegal blockade of cuba and placed icbm's in italy and turkey. the aggressor here is not the soviet union
ОтветитьI am just enjoying how succint correct and wel put put this guy describes the things i knew
ОтветитьThis is a self proclaimed left wing publication.
ОтветитьWait...Cambodia and Laos DID fall with Vietnam... doesn't that make them dominoes?
ОтветитьOkay, sidebar, the Cuban Missile Crisis STARTED as a result of US placing nuclear weapons in Türkiye. While the idea behind this move is to ensure that their protectorates are able to competently fight off a full scale invasion, it's a flawed line of thinking though. Russia responding with placing nuclear arms in Cuba, while a bit inflammatory it's an equivalent response. I'm not rationalizing the situation, I just think that context is important.
ОтветитьLooks around at a completely indoctrinated US population that now arbitrarily supports Russia for many illogical reasons.
Yeah I think the US lost the cold war, my man.
This guy has no clue what he's talking about in regard to the fall of the USSR. It wasn't mysterious at all. Clinton's puppet Yeltsin was literally BOUGHT and he handed over control to Putin who was the USA'S CHOICE to become an oligarchic dictator.
ОтветитьWHY DOES THIS VIDEO HAVE 30 AD BREAKS?!?!!
ОтветитьAh yes an American just leaving out a quite important detail to the cuban missle crisis ... who would have guessed
Ответитьisrael did it
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьI always thought it was called a cold war because an actual war is a hot war.
ОтветитьNot shocking that Trump would be associated with someone known for creating fear and attacking American citizens.
Ответить
