This is disturbing.
I did not believe that this happened to a child for all society to see and no one did anything to stop it.
I heard it on NPR when they were interviewing Brooke Shields and still did not believe it. Now that I had seen it I am filled with sadness that some people are trying to normalize this and calling it art. The content is not what disturbes me because it is a historical account of the abuse female children endured. What is disturbing is that an 11 year old child was used for the role and the scenes were so inappropriate for a child verged on child abuse.
