Am I the first to call bullshit on the fact the tethered are clones? Cloning doesn't work like that, and besides we could barely clone a sheep, much less a human being. If you were to say they came from the mirror world you may have something. But the science is overall bullshit.

So TECHNICALLY, “Us” is a really unique zombie movie, and it’s fucking brilliant! Because instead of the mainstream zombies, we get zombies that are terrifying beyond belief. Not because they are gonna chase and eat us…because we fear US becoming THEM.

Because keep in mind, the tethered aren’t empty shells, as far as we can tell they feel everything! We don’t know exactly to what extent or how their minds operate specifically, but the entire point is that they are very much sentient…but they have the expression ability of cave people. No sophisticated language or controlled expression, just raw uncut emotion at its primal level

if y’all are wondering why red’s voice is bad and want to give her water but it’s because the way she was switched with Addie she was so scared when she got turned into one of tethers that she was Afraid to tell her parents when she was little that she was from above because she thought she would get hurt but she accidentally talked in fear and her parents knew so she was turned into them and she also needed therapy and no I’m not being rude she actually needed therapy when she was little because she was scared to tell them she was Addie and she was from the tether and underground and she knew why they were crying but… Addie liked them to fight and red knew so she wanted to make a plan to kill her and red was the boss because she was different and everyone underground knew and she is now with the confronting with Addie about how she had taken red and go explore the above

During this scene, I already figured out that they were swapped especially when Adelaide talked about God.

This monologue makes no sense once you know the "twist".

Red is one of my favourite movie villains, her motivations made sense and that twist reveal at the end was tragic

Jordan Peele is a hack. His movies have no staying power. He’s absolute garbage.

The thing that really fascinated me, was how this movie rather vaguely and simplistically, is entertaining the Jungian shadow. A liberating moment of horror. The mask is revealed, the light and the shadow become one and whole.

The scenes that freaked me out were when the tethered copied their surface doubles there was the roller-coaster scene the eating "carnival food" scene and the ballet scene

“You could have taken me with you” really hits different once you’ve seen the twist

That scene with the people on the different rides being mimicked by the underground people was pretty hilarious. You have to admit that.

I wonder how the people responsible for the tethered would deal with something like 9/11. Or black Friday.

The bunny scene was the most horrifying. It pops up rent free every once in a while.
How do they have enough rabbits to live? Who feeds them?

TBH it was the government fault for creating the clones in the first place

What I don't understand is what's up with all the 11's being seen and mentioned. The first one, the sign that says "Jeremiah 11:11" clearly is a verse in the bible, but looking up what that verse is, it doesn't provide much context to all of this.

Man the tethered reminds me of the synths from fallout 4 and the government who made them remind me of the institute and both resided underground and the institute would kidnapped the original and replace them with synths and that synth would have your memory that's some trippy stuff

This scene is actually kind of scarier and sadder when you know the ending.

I know that Red is the real Adelaide, but I think at this point even she knew that she was now a tethered after all this time hence why she says “your people.” I do think that it’s interesting how the roles were switched; how the now Adelaide was able to control Red once she was on the surface. I wonder if it has to do more with control or state of mind rather than if one’s a tethered or not.

but like why did she go wandering off at the carnival tho
