I was playing cs1.6 when i was a kid. Now i bought both games but i cannot find regular 5v5 games like i was playing in cs 1.6 idk why but if u guys know how i can find them please reply

Of course it is, i really love the slower physics and the handlings of the weapons. CSGO feels more like L4D2 gunplay to me.
If CSS had a competitive mode it would be my main cs...

Esports tards killed Source when they refused to move from 1.6. Physics killed the strats they said, and so on, and half of the community were behind them. So, in a way, the CS fanbase kind of deserves the current predicament of the franchise.

Back in 2014 my potao laptop couldn't run csgo so my friend introduced me to cs:source.A lot of times i played online but playing with bots was also great.

I go to 1.6 not out of nostalgia, but because hitboxes and hit registration in a game from 2000 is made better than in cs go.
Because the textures are made so you can tell the difference between a character and a wall.
Because the recoil pattern doesn't have RNG in it, because "that's how it would be exciting to watch cybersports".
But maybe CS 2 changed that all finally. I almost never played Source, but I really liked the shooting there.

I used to play cs source a lot because my old computer couldn't run csgo for some reason and I preferred source instead of source gold

CS Source is one of my favorite Valve Games. I never played CS, and I was looking for a balance that brought the aesthetics of 1.6 with the. Half-Life technologies and without microtransactions and loot boxes. And I found CS Source.

I also liked Source the most. Followed by 1.6. CS:GO is shit. CS Source was just the funniest shit ever. There was so much shit you would do. It was the best sandbox game ever. All the epic zombie mods, surf maps and stupid fucking prison maps where there was this one idiot who tryharded to play a policeman. It was really fun times and everybody was just enjoying their times. The swearing part was meant in a joking manner. Nobody took each other seriously. Now you play with deadass serious 15 year-old tryhards and it's become the most toxic thing ever. CS:GO is really shit and I hate it. And Valve has ruined it by being even more greedy.

Only thing I don’t get.. who cares about cs mods.. I mean cs is a mod.. of half life.. but „Cs mods“ are just trash..

The first time i've played it i was like in the game ... The vibrant colour sinks into me like a dream ... Modding it was god sent ... Maps especially desert types customs included [de-dust 1 and 2] are so good it really digs me in a world of SF ... I felt like a soldier in every match with mods and fast spawn rate .... It was fun ... REALLY FREAKING FUN .

I don't play 1.6/Source for the mods. I just play it for the lack of pay-to-win updates nonsense. It's the simpler things in game that make me appreciate them more no matter how quickly digestible.


I just hope they don't end up like the unfortunate Unreal Tournament games (1999 and 2004 rest in peace for now and be given the Lazarus treatment sooner than later... while patiently waiting for the bloody Fortnite bubble to brutally burst) as the years go by. DYK what i like about CS Source is ragdoll i like everytime you eliminate a player, in edge of brdige or cliff they fall or almost gonna fall.

So source is the most versatile of the bunch? Not surprising considering it shares its engine with half life 2, team fortress 2 and gmod.

1.6 has better mechanics then all of them, and 1.3 probably is the best of all time.

In my opinion source is not the Best but it's way more Balanced and playable compared to 1.6 . In 1.6 it's like you've got 100 people ping you end up having input lag but in source and csgo you can shit on everyone even with 150 ping and also something that everyone can easily notice is that in source and go almost every gun got it's purpose or at least it's usable enough to be bought and their far more accurate than 1.6 .

I've tried CSGO before and it was a sweatfest of tryhards, microtransactions, and toxic players. I did not hesitate to turn back to my sweet sweet CS:S.
