Thanks so much for your time! ...When you say "to go through the station you have to go through the station" aren't you saying that you SHOULD select the reciprocal of the inbound radial (if the inbound course is on the TO side the reciprocal bearing would be on the FROM side)..."go through the station to a radial on the other side". In your example example in the PPL Lesson 37 video, the airplane is at R090 but you indicate we should fly to its reciprocal R270. (To me R90 would be on the TO side and R270 would be on the FROM side of the VOR?). Thanks again.

And when on an inbound course, what is the advantage of selecting the reciprocal of the course I am on, rather than just staying on my inbound radial?

Thanks for this but I have a question. 1). So can we go TO the VOR station by choosing either a "TO" radial (e.g., R230) OR the reciprocal "FROM" radial (i.e., R050 to go "through the station")? 2) What are the To/From flag implications of doing this? Thanks.

There should be WAY more stuff like this where you actually show the instrument working in real time, rather than someone just drawing what the instrument looks like at certain static points. Way way way more helpful.

All of this makes perfect sense but the practice questions for the PAR are way more confusing. I swear I never have enough information to pick the right answer.

VOR saved my bacon on my private cross country in 1975. I was not listening or it just didn’t sink in when the flight weather station briefer told me my destination airport was two miles visibility with fog. That was the second leg on the trip. I blissfully took off and when I got near my destination I couldn’t find the airport cause of the fog. I took radials off of two VORs and when they crossed figured out where I was and where the airport was. Finally found it.

My breakthrough moment was when I realized that, if you are off course with a deflected VOR needle, the selected OBS divides the world in half and the deflected needle is showing you which half of all possible headings are intercept headings towards the course, and which half of the possible headings are not intercept headings and in fact lead away from the course. And it didn't matter if you turned left or right as long as you ended up on an intercepting heading you will get to the course. 25K hours ATP, 5K hours CFI&I

I was on bed ❤ I stoped the video ad I intercept redial 80 inbound VOR that located inside restroom through north east and back I intercept redial 260 out bound to my bed so where is the location of my bed Sir ? If you could find come please. ❤❤
