I had this idea to develop since several years but i am neither a technical guy nor an engineer. But, i got this idea to save the lives in india. Many accidents in india happened due to sleeping while driving. So, this idea helps for sure. If i get a chance i want to buy one and run it on my road in india.

This look like a smart way to replace expensive local drivers by cheaper ones as long as the data communication channel can handle it.

If WAYMO ever needed this technology of few cameras and and gaming rig, I think thay could easily make it.

Why would the passenger be "stranded in the vehicle"? Do they not know how to drive? There's no way the lag delay makes this safe, ESPECIALLY on a cell network! 3 HD video feeds over 4g??? This is batshit crazy. Imagine that giant truck losing a connection and just plowing into everything. Where do they even see a cost savings? You still have to pay a driver, is he going to be that much cheaper if he sits in an office? Is this going to get outsourced to India to keep the costs down?

It makes no sense to develop such technology. Its not innovation. Pushing the limits of autonomy and AI for good is what's worth one's time and brain

It may take a lot more than this technology to make these vehicles 100% safe & reliable on the roads?
