I just signed up to donate yesterday at Fort Drum.
ОтветитьI signed up for the registry about 7-8 years ago when I was in college. I just got the call last week that I matched with a patient who has Leukemia. The first few years on the list I was fearful of getting the call, not knowing how I would feel if I matched. Then I completely forgot about it, but when I got the call I was happy because it means I can save a life.
ОтветитьTo all the True Heroes who Donate Bone Marrow, Real Heros by any standard!!! You are true life savers!!!!! Thank You!!!!
ОтветитьLooking at this video and comments, I definitely want to sign up as a bone marrow and blood donor once I turn 18.
ОтветитьI have myelofibrosis (blood cancer). I’ve been on pill chemo for 10 months and it has not changed my disease much. My hematologist told me stem cell transplant is the best option for healing. So now I’m one of those people receiving an allogeneic stem cell transplant.
I don’t know who my donor is, but they have saved my life! I am going into hospital for radiation and liquid chemo in 3 days, a few days after that I will receive the transplant. Thank you to my donor ❤❤❤
please, if you are able to, donate and save someone’s life like mine. 🥹🥰
I want to donate to this friend of mine who is sickle just to change his Genotype. I love him so much and wish to see him live long and healthy. I pray I’m his match 😊

ОтветитьI want to do this as many times as I can.
This pain doesn't really intimidate me. I love embracing discomfort.
It makes you grow.
People might as well benefit from my ways of life.
Is there anything that disqualifies you other than the obvious std and cancer stuff?
I drink often but that's it. How long do I have to not drink before I qualify?
This is beautiful!! My son, 7, donated his bone marrow to his baby sister who’s 9 months old on April 10th. My baby girl was diagnosed with high risk AML at 5 months old and is one step closer to this horrible journey being over!!! Thank you for spreading awareness on what it means being a bone marrow donor. My son is truly his sisters keeper ❤
ОтветитьThank you for explaining the donation process. It's a lot less scary than I thought. Unfortunately my country won't accept donors over 30 :(
ОтветитьI got the xall that I'm a match.
ОтветитьThey never allowed me to donate blood in my school because I’m 5’1 and 90 pounds naturally… I’m very active and healthy but too skinny lmao 💀 I signed up for this about 3 years ago I really hope I get the call one day and hopefully I’m thick enough ❤️

Robin, I was only borned with one Kidney. Will that keep me from being a bone marrow doner?
ОтветитьGlad other ppl volunteer cuz I could never do that 😭 I'm struggling just watching all the needles, machines he's connected to, & all the bood filed tubes.. the duration is just the nail in the coffin for me
ОтветитьOne of my coworkers sisters actually died because they couldn’t get a bone marrow transplant for her. It was sad to watch it . Even worse, she had very young children to top it off during her final hours. She was the white, 2% of patients that have bad reactions to the painkillers. She ended up completely out of her mind and attacked her own children hours before she died, she had to be transferred to a hospice facility. It was horrible so now her children last memories of her above her completely out of her mind and saying in pain, I feel very badly for them and her. . I also watched my mother die a horrendous death, so I really big people to think about that if they can prevent it in either anyway.
ОтветитьWhat a great guy. What an amazing way to help.
ОтветитьI just found an old "Be The Match" flyer I picked up at a college fair over 5 years ago. At the time I was not ready to commit to a cheek swab, right there in between classes lol. But I'm glad I never threw away that flyer! Definitely going to send in my cheek swab ASAP
Ответить👍👍
ОтветитьI signed up for this two years and I can’t wait to get that call
ОтветитьBone marrow donor here! My recipient is doing great!
ОтветитьLost my sister to AML cancer 10/22/2022 a great loss to the family she had a match for her bone marrow but they took to long for my sister to get it and she came out of remission and couldn't get it in time she develop pneumonia which helped her pass congratulations to the one's whom as a second chance of life .
ОтветитьI just got ask to do this can't wait to do it
ОтветитьI got the call that I was a match a couple weeks ago. I'm currently in the process of getting my health checked out. it would be amazing to be able to donate! please if you have the opportunity, register! and follow through!
ОтветитьSaving a life from a brink of death is the gratest deed a human can do...god bless them the most
ОтветитьHi GMA my name is rudra and I suffering from PNH clone last 2 year in India ... Indian dr. Say America available pnh clone medicine.. Can u help me GMA
ОтветитьMy number 1 fear is injections, I’ve had this fear since childhood. But I’ve signed up to be a donor, if I get the call that I’m a match all I gotta say is “I’m ready when you are”
ОтветитьI’m in the process of becoming a donor I need to get my kit first, but I’m so excited! 😆
ОтветитьMy sister tried but we have cancer in family and her health wasn’t great! I got a donor! ! In fact 17th was my 3 year anniversary! Wish you all well
ОтветитьAfter being on the registry for 6 years I got an email saying that I matched with a woman with leukemia. I need ti go through the questionnaire and blood work first! I am so nervous but so ready and hope that I can get passed all this so I can help her!!! It feels like such a unique and amazing opportunity to help someone in need.
ОтветитьHence the reason why we do not need babies babies for sales anymore anymore it says we can make them!!!!
ОтветитьPeople don't need to donate bone marrow because because they can take their own sales and tournament to induce plurry potent stem cells and then turn them back into bone marrow so now they will have less chance of rejection
ОтветитьI just had my swabs received and it’s killing me that it takes up to 6-8 weeks for them to process and type and match. I really, really hope I can be someone’s match as quickly as possible because I have what someone needs- why not give it? I wish I had known about this sooner. I would have donated so, so much sooner.
ОтветитьI am from india i am 32 and blood group os ab+ i am in debt i want money i can sell bone marrow please help me i help you
ОтветитьNo wonder they cut the umbilical cord off so quickly. They want to use what’s due to the baby it came from so they can use it on other people. My reasoning for being against this type of donation and being in support of delayed cord clamping is because the hospitals profit off of cord blood. No way in hell would I let someone else have mybaby’s cord blood when it doesn’t belong to neither the hospital nor the recipient. I wouldn’t ever give birth in a hospital unless it’s an emergency. Either way my birth plan will include delayed cord clamping until the cord turns white. My babies will all be born a home.
ОтветитьHow did donate in 6 weeks ?
ОтветитьCosmetics giant Revlon filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday evening as it grappled with a cumbersome debt load and a snarled supply chain.
ОтветитьSo how do I donate
ОтветитьI’ve never heard about this until now
ОтветитьYea never mind I’m not donating that
ОтветитьI just registered to donate. Our friend passed away at 27 years olds and left 3 daughter behind, The pain of loosing someone so close and knowing there is something I can do has stock with me since and today I took that decision. I pray to god that I am a match to save someones life 🙏🏻❤️
ОтветитьI registered in 2015 and just got matched. Anyway two shots a day is too much I’ll just go through anesthesia and have them collect through spine
ОтветитьI can only hope they don't turn around and sell the donations. Definitely looking into becoming a donor.
ОтветитьI'm 16 and want to donate, wish I could just donate rn.
ОтветитьIt's awesome that people do this. Sadly there are alot of parents who have other kids for the sole purpose of giving existing children bone marrow. I think thats wrong. If the man said his back hurt think of how hurt a baby is after having bone marrow extracted out of them.
ОтветитьFYI you have to be between 18 & 40 to join the registry.
ОтветитьGuys give give give there is no better feeling in life but giving
ОтветитьI'm an organ doner and I will give blood if my blood is needed. But this no. Hell no.
ОтветитьSo I registered a few years ago but moved and changed number and email and don't remember the logins for my original account so I just registered again under a new account. I hope they remove my old account and old contact info since they won't be able to contact me through it.
ОтветитьMy son is doing his donation tomorrow. He signed up for be the match in 2018 when Andrew Smith passed away from Butler. Eric has matched with a lady that he will be donating his Stem cells for her. Our son is a hero and what a selfless act to do this. ABC maybe you would like to do a story on him as well, He is also in his 3rd Year of Pharmacy School
ОтветитьSent my swabs in, now I wait. Hopefully I can help someone out!
