New Real estate agent reality vs expectations [REALISTIC FIRST YEAR]

I’m not in yet, but this did shine like to what I expected.

Still not telling the whole story. New agents NEED to know the costs that they must pay to be an agent. MLS, Board, Broker fees, Sentri-lock. Things you have to pay even if you aren’t making any money in deals. No MLS you can’t even complete a deal if you get one. You don’t realize how much money you have to put in constantly before even making $1. I would suggest if you have a main job don’t quit until you get a few deals under you because your gonna need a few months to float until then settlement checks come in.

Ive been liscensed since November and have been feeling discouraged a bit b/c i haven't done a deal yet. I've had leads that seemed promising but they disappeared.

Im newly licensed workin through my first deal im experiencing everything you said especially being overwhelmed and feeling i dont know nothing! Its crazy but im proud of myself for not giving up !

Hey Chastin this was a great video. I got my license mid-way through last year and I went through all of these feelings and I am still going through what you said about being a new agent. I have already left my first brokerage and realize that it will be on me to get the success I want. I thought I was going to have all this support and coaching. You just earned my subscription good sir. I just passed my exam on 1st try. Joined brokerage and feeling OVERWHELMED. Did some advertising and got a hit but my broker partnered me with someone else who was new and it took 5 days for them to email my opportunity the listing agreement which means they basically waited a week for nothing and found another agent. I was PISSED bc my broker didnt tell me about the MLS until two weeks before it was due so i had to hustle up $1200 ASAP, but im ME, so God opened that RKO Outta Nowhere thankfully. But yeah, i LEARNED A LOT…QUICK! But ill take the KNOWLEDGE over the small $ i would have made. NOW I KNOW who not to count on in my brokerage and the broker is no longer there. IM FINNA START WINNING!✊🏾

I am 3 months in today currently with 2 in escrow. With all that I still feel like I need to have more going on, I know it takes time though. It is just hard sometimes to not feel discouraged.
