I actually really hope the 15th doctor sees this video. Even if he makes a decision to act contrary to it, at least the show would KNOW what its contrasting

I have not gotten very far through this video but noticed how you look like you could be a twin of my co workers daughter. I mean you look almost exactly like her. Your mannerisms are similar as well. The voice is the only difference.

How can they fuck up so much by having TrumpMan be right? Why couldn't the doctor bring them to an uninhabited planet and let them trive there ??

Sadly the whole era feels like a first draft.

Man, there really are these little nuggets of Jodie Whittaker being great as The Doctor. So so hope that she returns with a new writer for an episode in the future, so we can get a truly amazing story with 13th being fully realised.

Thank you for this production! An incredible and in-depth essay that I appreciate for its consistent talking points focused on character and writing criticisms regarding the following Seasons lead by Head Writer Chris Chibnall. There is a clear passion for the overall IP, and so much incredible information that supports points decades in the making from the writing room. Thank you for your passion and hard work!

I think the trump like episode is clear evidence that any political talk now is absolutely aweful with it being ruined by perspectives each side hold of each other. It also is scary af that it’s stayed this way by election year… I’m just done with anyone who wants to talk politics on either side because no matter what it’s “I care about people and they don’t” or “I swear if that dumbass is elected” … and please why tf can’t it be anyone other than Trump and Biden… like damn they’re just asking for beef on both sides without hope for solution except to win them out. And our country is going to shit in the mean time cause they’re wasting their time fighting like teenagers hitting puberty

Oh shit. We love people who could truly sacrifice themselves for others. That’s why Jesus is so loved. Why is recognised as a thing: The Doctor is Jesus and We are God: We are those who judge The Doctor and the versions of The Doctor that We’ve loved the most has been the ones who have been willing, at almost every available opportunity to give their life to save another - which makes them almost like Superman - only… he’s as mortal as We are. He’s such a good character - and I think anyone can be a hero: you just have to be truly willing to give your life for another, an other who is doing no harm and instead, great good to the universe and so, whilst you could save the universe yourself, there’s something so good about it that you’re willing to give your life for it to keep going. Anywho. I ramble on the 5 hour video. Sue me.

I personally feel Richard Ayoade would make an amazing doctor. The IT Crowd was a simple, well-written sitcom that didn't ask for much range as you stated, but if you ever see how he engages with Jimmy Carr during any of the panel game shows they're both on, he definitely knows how to read the room and measure his quirkiness for maximum effect. I seriously would love to see it, even if that's an unpopular opinion.

There have been and continue to be people whose names are obscured by their exploitative employer; everyone working at Disney, for example. But TESLA IS NOT ONE OF THEM. The unit of magnetic flux density is named after him, for Pete's sake. Tesla became a HUGE celebrity and even bigger in the modern era. Additionally, journalists and subsequently steampunk sci-fi authors picked him his big claims and treated them as real. His fame doesn't just equal or outshine Edison's but he consistently receives credit for things he did not, in fact, accomplish.
Which reaffirms that this era is written by children who hear a thing and run to tell everyone assuming they don't know without even fact checking it.

Just to clarify a bit, I do not think that Chibnall spells everything out to the audience because he believes we are too dumb to get it otherwise. I suspect that HE is too dumb to get it otherwise and He is too dumb to think of a way to tell it differently. I am convinced that he has a hard time understanding the difference between a character acting in a certain way and one just telling you how "it" feels or thinks.

I love me a bit of continuity... How far did Tom Baker fall to his death causing him to regenerate? How far does she fall? Why didn't she regenerate immediately? It would have been the best thing that could have happened to the show. Her new female body is clearly 1,000,000% tougher than Tom Baker's feeble male body.

I think I like the 12th doctor's lack of social skills and apathy because of what last happened to him, I think it makes sense for 11 too to an extent kind of but the 12th hasn't really had human interaction for however many years he was on Trenzalore and the people he did interact with probably died again and again and again, he didn't think he was coming back after that until he suddenly was either. I also personally just find the 11th doctor funny and a big part of that is how weird he is for no apparent reason even if that is inconsistent with the character I personally think it's worth it for me

Me and Jodie went to school together (but not in the same year group, and we didn't know each other), so it was a great disappointment when her era of Who turned out to be dreadful (especially because there was no way on earth I thought it could be worse than stephen moffat's anti-storytelling).

As I was watching the 13th Doctor I was always hoping after a story finished, that in the next one would be the 12th Doctor receiving another distress call from the 13th Doctor, like in the Episode "Extremis" where he send a massage from inside a simulation, meaning that all adventures from the 13th Doctor would be a simulation of the Monks or at least a simulation from another species and the 12th Doctor or the 13th Doctor awakes finding out it was all fake, a dream, to break into his mind and retrieve the secrets of the Time Lords. This resulting in the Doctor questioning his strange behaviour inside the simulation and making jokes about it, like the Fam only saying what he/she wants to hear and being else silent. And making jokes that the enemy was always mostly a species where no one is individual and all the same model. Or asking himself/herself why he/she was so aggressive in solving conflicts.
I hope that the Doctor will someday wake up and it all will be a dream or simulation.

Giving a doctor's regeneration domething resembling social anxiety or an anxiety disorder could actually be really fascinating representation of what it's like living with something like that. Show the differences between actual DOCTOR level fears vs the irrational and frustrating side of anxiety. How DESPITE her competence she still feels "off" and has to learn to understand that as part of a new regeneration. That's such a unique character opportunity...something topical and could be very eye opening and cathartic for viewers. Could have been something really important. Too bad.
