Nice job! Where did you buy the inverter (power converter)?
ОтветитьCool, I like the idea of a larger gas tank, and I would have 2 batteries here and a protective cage underneath for safety. Nice work, 1/4 inch plate is overkill but it works, 5/8 plywood would be much lighter and non conductive and way cheaper than the plate, and more than strong enough. Air filled tires would absorb the bumps better. No matter what you do people will critique their own opinion, but again, great job and nicely done even the mega cap companies have teams to improve their products through innovation and trial and error and customer feedback etc.....
ОтветитьMan you must of been pulling your hair out figuring out that ground issue
ОтветитьThat’s really really cool.. I’m building One
To back up harbor freight solar panels.

ОтветитьAs nice as If I seen.
ОтветитьGood Job
Ответитьdid have efecient? did inverter generator using 3 phase convert to dc and step up to single phase again ?
ОтветитьVery nice job!
ОтветитьI am looking for about your product place lace me a message .When I post this, I am looking for more information no this .
I like to get more information on how you built this and put this all together and you're playing tell you built this and get this to work I'm looking for that where I can take and put in my truck and use it for off-grid when working on my project on and my off grade home off-the-grid or. Boat any other project I'm doing
can't work very well because the pully sizes are all wrong. that is also why it's hard to start.
ОтветитьHello sir Can I know what materials you used to create that for Research thesis product in my college degree
ОтветитьGod loves all of us so much He came in the flesh to die and rise so that if we choose to accept Jesus as our one true Savior turning from our sins we may be gifted eternal salvation through Christ’s perfect sacrifice on the cross. Have a great day
ОтветитьI'd want the smallest engine I could find with a large sprocket. On the alternator use a small sprocket so u could run the engine at the lowest idel possible. That way a gallon of gas could last much longer. Is this possible ?
ОтветитьJust recently stumbled across your video and like the idea of it. Thought about using the old riding mower my dad gave me sincecthe transaxle went out for something similar.
Ответитьgreat Idea. I got a powerwasher that the pump froze but engine is good and I might just do what you did. generators are expensive....
ОтветитьReally Nice Job !
ОтветитьThis is awesome. Just what I was looking for. I can see myself using a lot of this to make mine. I would maybe add a small electric personal fan blowing on the engine, more fuel. That's about it.
ОтветитьYes it is very good! Only one little thing is the tension wheel is to far away causing power loss
Hey 9 out of 10 is very good!!

ОтветитьI like your setup. Is no fuse to protect the alternator ? Overall you did a nice job .
ОтветитьDo you not need a charge controller between the altenator and battery?
ОтветитьIs a Kohler generator better than a Generac?
ОтветитьThat's genial bro
ОтветитьIt is pretty great setup. :D
Ответитьa 6.5 hp engine should be able to power a 4800 W electrical setup.
Obviously GM does not produce a 4800 W alternator but is goes to show the engine is about 4 times overrated for the shown use...
You could opt to instal a second or possibly even a third alternator to the same engine to take advantage to the available power...
But that being said: The setup looks to part...
well done, i recently acquired a honda gx160 with a trash pump on it, no use for trash pump, want to convert to genny.
ОтветитьDo you still have it? Ever try to weld with it? Nice build.
ОтветитьWorlds heaviest 1k generator. Looks good bud 🤩
ОтветитьHow do you control the field input of the alternator? Also, don't you need a voltage regulator between the alternator and the battery?
ОтветитьBut ONLY 1000W? That's a lot of engine for so little power.
Ответитьyou couldve made that a 2000watt with a 6.5hp motor
ОтветитьI’m very limited in my electrical knowledge, but does the engine adjusts the rpm to the load, and if so, how did you accomplish that?
ОтветитьRemarkable build there! Slick use of part's.
ОтветитьI am thinking of building my own generator with old mower engine. Edit: the engine was on a self propelled mower with a drive pulley.
ОтветитьGreat video!! Thanks😊
ОтветитьThat’s actually pretty sick.
ОтветитьI have a old alternator and some lawn mower engine thought this would be good use for it now seems like I'd be better off buying a used generator
Ответитьnice work
ОтветитьHe did not "spot weld" anything, he welded spots with a stick welder or a MIG welder. Ron W4BIN
ОтветитьWell done, dude!
ОтветитьI dont understand the large drive pulley. Its like 5 to 1. Alternators max out in amperage at about 1500 RPMs. There is no need to spin up the alternator that fast. It only reduces the torque of the motor to the alternator. The lawnmower engine runs at 3 to 3500 RPMs. could have just gone 1 to 1 on the pulley ratio. The only time you need high RPM is when you mess with the voltage regulator for higher voltage. I understand this is a old build but if any body out there is viewing this, please either 1 to 1 or even 2 to 1 on pulley ratio. 1 Engine 2 Alternator. Most horizontals run best at 3600 RPMs. 1800 RPMs is all you need for a 12 volt system.
I'm doing a all new equipment set up. A GM 400 Amp 15.1 VDC with a 13 hp Harbor freight horizontal.
If you rotate how you mount the alternator by 180 degrees you could use less length for your cables and wouldn't have needed to cross them. It probably will not make a big difference, but its just my OCD side. 😁
ОтветитьWow very cool
ОтветитьHas anyone seen the cat?
ОтветитьI have a 6.6 Craftsman mower ready to go. What is the average cost of the other items needed to complete this project?
Ответитьsweet
ОтветитьWhat kind of wattage do you get off of this?
ОтветитьConvert that gas motor to run on methane gas. Then you got free energy
ОтветитьHow did you determine the RPM for the alternator and select pulley sizes?
Ответить
