Is she saying that if we make addiction ok then people will thrive in their addiction and not suffer from the repercussions of the addiction?

Drinking alcohol “for health” — what an absurd idea. Yet in many cultures, it’s still a holiday tradition.

Thank you, The Diary of a CEO, for this episode. It challenges what we’ve long accepted as “normal.”
We can and should rewrite our cultural code — starting with ourselves.
And most importantly, give our children a mindset that doesn’t glorify alcohol or other substances.

I drank a LOT at least the last 30yrs of my life and ended up stage 3 breast cancer. Not a SINGLE drink was worth the trauma and permanent disabilities from treatments iam left with now.

If the liver stops everything to only focus on removing Alcohol from the body that tells you that it is not good for you in any amount. End of story except for no adicts who are actual adicts who convince themselves in any way to have a glass.

You’re losing your credibility. At this point, I’m unsubscribing. I know your audience has room temperature IQs, but I thought your whole thing was being better than that? This all stems from your recent thumbnails and “experts”. In the thumbnail, might I ask, who is “they”. See, there you go. Doing that “everything is a Joe Rogan conspiracy” bullshit. Anybody with a brain knows and understands alcohol is horrible. Who is “they”. Who is the “machine”. Have some integrity amongst a SEA of grifters. I really thought you were above the “algorithmic model” but you’re just apart of the problem.

They mean well I am sure! But apple pie maternal advice has been tried for probably hundreds of years plus without success. In fact bland logic can serve to drive the sufferer deeper into despair as the addiction finds its way around every platitude. Listen to other addicts for deeper insights. Oh….good luck with the BOOK.

A few(very few )people with alcohol abuse syndrome will successfully reduce intake by sensible reasoning about health. Yes, these are laudable goals but the point really is that the even more powerful demonic drive to binge crushes these “ sensible attempts” again and again and….. Many sufferers know all this better than you do. Logic does not reach or convince the demon that often. Is it fair or wise to offer this approach?

I think many people have vices. There are people who smoke cigarettes people who become stoners people who like to drink people who game all day so idk it almost seems like you need to enjoy life a bit and not be such a stickler. Like just because you dont drink alcohol but you eat sugar and have other bad habits doesn't make you better. I'd argue someone who goes to the gym every day eats healthy and drinks every weekend is better then a sober person who sits on the couch all day.... so 😂 😂 😂

One thing not talked about is seed oils all oils except olive , avocado, and coconut oil.
Cause fatty liver ( previously only alcoholics got it) now children/teens have it.
Seed oils are posion, lard has no such effects.

This was good information about medicine for alcoholism with psychotherapy. I realize this will help some but also the way alcohol kills brain cells and you showed the 43 year old brain so deteriorated it’s like dementia, no wonder my brother had such trouble. He died at 54 from liver failure, the ammonia built up in his brain.

Most Drs know absolutely nothing about cancer and the cause. Seriously alcohol can cause issues in the body if abused. How many old aged people swear by drinking alcohol extended their life so this info is inaccurate.

It's almost like building a society that drives us to achieve more all the time, hustle culture, put a dollar value on everything, don't focus on taking care of each other, don't provide food for our children at school (it should be universal but especially the kids who need it) is a bad thing.

Eek, machine or crane operation while drinking. If anyone smelled alcohol on me at work I would get tested, if I blew anything on BAC i would get fired. 🤯

I don't think any addict would get from "I can manage my drinking" to "yeah I need to change" that quickly.
