The best of the new PolyTune Free is that it's free as its own CEO confirms in this video. I need mine now. Give it back.

What can this pedal do that the Polytune 3 mini can't do?

The pedal will always switch to " bypass" mode when power plug is pulled regardless of whether pedal is in true or buffered mode. This is to prevent silence in case the power cable gets accidentally disconnected on stage.

I have a question. I own te Polytune 3 mini, when the pedal is switched to "buffered bypass" and If I disconnect the power cable, I have noticed that I can still hear my guitar. Isn't it supposed that in the buffered bypass the guitar should not be heard when the power is disconnected? I mean this is the standard test for true-bypass pedals, but if the pedal is not in that configuration anymore, maybe it is not a real buffer? or maybe I have a faulty pedal?

Hi, I have this exact same pedal. May I ask why the pedal make "pop" sounds when pressed? ("pop" like the jack cable are removed suddenly from the instrument). I'm using active bass and the polytune is in the front of the signal chain.

So it is the buffer doing its job as long as its first in the chain even if the pedal is off?

I’m under three years on guitar, though a musician all my life. The tc electronic stuff sounds the best to me, to the point that I now simply trust it.

Polytune 4 wish list: -Same features as PT3 PLUS: Update to high contrast LCD display - larger screen - dual buffered & true bypass outputs - Toneprint enabled for sweetens tunings (similar to Peterson tuners) - better Strobe mode and poly mode graphics - user selectable LCD backlight brightness or auto dimming. 🤘
