I'm 14 year old, I have 2 Bible. One french one, The Bible of Jerusalem, and one English one, The Good News Bible. My Bible in French is hard to read, I struggle to understand it while on the other side the Good News Bible is a simplified Bible, which I understand much better and understand everything every time I read. So I was just wondering if its okay to read a simplified version like My good news Bible or if I should just stick to the Bible of Jerusalem alone. God bless you.
ОтветитьI agree with your assessment of the NLT and I might add the Life Application in the NLT. The LANLT completely revolutionized by Bible reading!! I was finally able to actually love reading AND understanding “my” Bible!!! I have passed many of these out and believe every Christian should have one. I now supplement the NLT with the HCSB, the ESV and the NKJV. But NLT still my go to!!👍
ОтветитьThanks for explaining the different translations. Best l found is The New World translation of the holy scriptures.
Ответитьsome Bibles are missing scripture and in some cases total chapters
.
I like the way you broke down the Bible in the different forms and understanding and the grade level they are, for our reading level ,and understanding.
ОтветитьHorrible recommendations with no spiritual insight or discernment. The dangers of the Message Bible witch is a regurgitation of someone with an agenda and a leaning towards diabolical doctrine is already proven many times over and one can get educated with just a few clicks. Why someone would recommend this is beyond my comprehension and they immediately loose any credibility.
ОтветитьStudy them all. Find out how they are different and why.
ОтветитьThe most important thing to consider is the essence and quality of the Bible one reads. For an very small example John 14:1 is one there's a vast difference in "Mansion" vs "Rooms". Please be careful in your selection!!!!
ОтветитьI currently used ESV. However, I believe KJV is the most accurate translation.
ОтветитьI love The Passion Translation
ОтветитьI enjoy the. NKJ version because it's easy to read and understand.
ОтветитьMy favorite translation is The Living Bible, of which the New Living Translation was born. Good stuff.
ОтветитьWhat do you mean by sacrifice in meaning when using the NLT translation because I usually use the KJV version but I started reading the NLT and I like it I just want to know more about what you mean about sacrifice in meaning.
ОтветитьMy favorite Bible is also the amplified Bible
ОтветитьAfter using the NLT Life Application Bible for the past 20 years or so, I agree! I think it is the best Bible for 80%-90% of Christians. A great Bible!
ОтветитьKJV is the only one to follow, study , and read… Just because we don’t use certain words, that doesn’t mean it’s ok to study the word of God from books written by men who take words out or change versus and change their means to those versus… KJV 1611 is the closest English to the Bible’s that were passed down in other countries that didn’t speak English. Which makes it the closest to actual Greek text and ones that early Christians passed down from generation to generation
ОтветитьThe top Bibles in my opinion:
New International Version
New Living Translation
Christian Standard Bible
English Standard Version
King James Version
New King James Version
New American Standard Bible
I many Christians are divide over this
ОтветитьAllen, since this video came out 7 years ago, I was wondering if The Life Application Bible in the NLT is still your recommendation?
ОтветитьKing James or New king James or English Standard
ОтветитьIt is not completely accurate Try English standard version
ОтветитьYou Allen Parr should be ashamed of yourself > 🤪 I'm looking at you (a vessel created by God The Potter) and by faith I know that The Potter is inside you AND In the room with you as you speak yet you have chosen to ignore HIM! Look at that big smile on your face > 😀 < Have you forgotten what the LORD'S name is = JEALOUS! We should ask HIM what translation HE wants us to read and study from. I've had it with ALL you leaders who present yourselves on the WEB as if you are ALL ALONE then tell us that Christianity is not a religion but a RELATIONSHIP > 🤪 < SERIOUSLY! I know that I can get away with talking to you like this because we Christians hate PRIDE (Proverbs 8:13). Besides, I know that you love me and that you won't let the fact that I think your presentation was A HEARTLESS thing to do knowing that The Holy Spirit is always right there with you. I should ask The LORD if HE wants me to send this. I'm going to take a coin out of my pocket and if it turns up heads I'll touch the send button. I'm hoping that it will turn out to be HEADS > 🤪
ОтветитьNEW WORLD TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES is the most accurate Bible on this planet earth, and they are free.
ОтветитьI've always said different translations suit different people. I use the NIV, it's the perfect mix of formal and dynamic equivalence for me. It's written in modern English that I can easily understand, but it's still as accurate as possible.
ОтветитьFather son and Holy Spirit if the person denies the Holy Spirit Jesus said there is no salvation for that blasphemy
ОтветитьI think the CSB is worth a look. It's highly accurate as well as highly readable. I really enjoy it. 😊
ОтветитьIn English the kjv is the only one that has not been corrupted and yes this is a perfect translation I think God can preserve his word if this is not a perfect translation please tell me what part is wrong ? Satan first act was to question God's word.
ОтветитьI have over 14 bibles , Read the one that speaks to you
ОтветитьDo you have any issues with NKJV?
ОтветитьNKJV to memorize as the sword. CEV to understand the context, story only.
ОтветитьThe Living Bible is a paraphrase bible that is older than "The Message" by Eugene Peterson. It was published by Kenneth Taylor in 1971 after he'd written it to help his children read and understand the bible. I prefer it over "The Message" which I have a copy of but don't enjoy reading it much.
ОтветитьI don't like ads, and neither do anyone else. And for me, reading the amplified bible is exactly what it is. If you have seen a sample of the amplified bible, it gives little notes in between the verse making it look like a living nightmare and more than difficult to read. Like I'm just trying to read, not trying to know what it means, I have God for a reason, he can tell me what it means and that is the most accurate commentary you can get. And the best part, it's free.
ОтветитьI tried to read the Bible but failed many times. I do not find reading the Bible brings me closer to God. It is a jumbled up mess. I have Us Weekly magazines. They are my holy books. There are 10 gorgeous women from the red carpet section from the magazines. I chant their names and say my prayers with my Buddhist prayer beads. I also have Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism For Dummies and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism.
ОтветитьIf your concerned about the bible you read, first you must get baptized in the Spirit. Now when you get filled with the Holy Spirit it does not matter which bible you use because God's Holy Spirit is not limited to the bible you read. If your still confused you probably got baptized with the wrong spirit or only by water. God is not limited to the bible you read.
ОтветитьThank you Allen! I have spent most of my years reading and memorizing Scripture from the older version of the NIV. But daily reading and study I use the NASB. For listening and now memorization, I use the KJV. It is beautiful and I find easy to memorize! God bless!
ОтветитьDon't go for easy. Go for truth.
ОтветитьWhat about the Geneva Bible?
ОтветитьMy everyday translation is the Revised Standard Revision (2nd Catholic Edition), and I love it. It's not perfect my any means, and I also read the KJV-CE.
ОтветитьThank you for this Bro Allen.
ОтветитьPersonally my fav is NASB. And I use Interlinear & I have been relying more on AMP too. But because I am teaching daily bible to Ukrainians in Eng & we use translator, I am also supplenting it with more easier to understand translations like NIRV, NLT, CEV, MSG, TPT, EASY, ERV, etc... But when I want more clarity, & some translatons are so different sometimes that I study original language / goto biblehub & try to read bunch of versions at once & compare.
My recommendation is when doing bible study, don't use commentary. And try to get it directly from God, & pray. OFC, bible dictionaries & bible background info is a fair game, because you need it for context.

I started and read the entire NIV Bible. I am now in the KJV and it definitely hits different. It forces you to study and rely on the Holy Spirit for understanding. It is by far my favorite version. NIV got me started so it holds a special place in my heart always, but the KJV is beautiful!
ОтветитьWhich Bible Could I Read?
ОтветитьMost Christian's Always Go With The KJV.
ОтветитьIts 2024 and im just seeing this video. I was praying Father show me the right translation to use. Im not saying you were the answer to that prayer but if u read this id like your opinion. Romans 8:1 where it says who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. The notes say it was an error? A scribes copying error. The scriptures that follow say the same thing? Thoughts?
ОтветитьI been using the nkjv for years
ОтветитьI enjoy reading the King James Version and I hear God speaking as I read. I have tried other translations but find myself coming back to my roots KJV and using my bible dictionary to help with words that I do not have the understanding of.
