When starting out until you have a near 400+ car, stick to wanted level 3 police chases.. unless you are looking for some thrills..
'71 Skyline or the '73 Porsche are best starting & finishing cars.. enabling you to craft any other vehicle you wish to use...
before doing online heat races, place a map marker near the ports where there are multiple escape locations..
flanking race in ports is best for building heat & grinding reputation..

Theres one jump near the highway that jumps over an overpass and if nail it right and land on the overpass it immediately escapes you no matter the heat level, i got stuck in a heat 5 chase soon as i started with a level 130 180sx and it was awesome

I bought it but i prefer nfs payback Heat sucks they need to make it better

If you get in a heat 5 chase go in the water the cops go in the water after you and it automatically makes you evade them when you respawn

If ur having trouble drifting try turning

My favourite way put of a cop chase is a jump in the city by the big trench of water if you do find my badly described jump then use it in a cop chase because there is a garage and your safe house right after it

There is a jump on the bottom left of the map with cargo ships in the area where you got to jump over water. Cops have never followed me successfully on that one. I toy with them all the time as they veer to the side. It must be the water or something in that area that confuses the bot.

Tbh if youre car is really slow make it faster. 😜🔥🔥

The jump between eden shores and Bayview Park is perfect for ditching cops at any heat level and leads you right into another jump that lands you right in front of a gas station and about 2 or 3 seconds from a garage entrance

Tip if you’re being chased by at least one or two cops, try, jumping into water that you can’t drive over, which would confuse the cops and make them jump into the river and crash, but be wise full because after one or two tries, it would lower your health super bad

If u find urself loosing constantly, get better and stop loosing from bots

You can use the bridge in the Wetlands to escape the cops

I just downloaded this with Xbox Game pass because many people said it is the closest to a successor to the NFSU series. The police chases are no joke. Its like im driving the cop cars alongside my own car because they brake when i brake and apparently also have nitrous in their basic cars. They turn when i turn and i got rammed from behind going 135, meaning they have some INSANE rubber banding that just fucking SENDS them

one of the best ways to lose high jest is go to the mall and go up the ramp, then jump from the next ramp to the roof of the mall in no matter what heat you’re at it will automatically make you lose cops, even helicopters.

Another method to escape cops: Drive into a lake slowly, they will drive in there with you. Then you respawn near the lake and then the cops no longer exist

Why is it sad that you get an advantage against police on solo?

I’m trying to figure out the off roading car like how you make your car capable of driving on fort roads without slowing down

In terms of nitros, more small tanks are good for short bursts of speed, like in escapes, however large nitros tanks are better for racing

I miss Most Wanted type of NFS :(

If you have one cop chasing you then you could drive into a body of water it will take some damage but as long as the cop is driving fast enough he’ll crash into the body of water (wouldn’t recommend doing with multiple cops)

How do you turn so well? Dude I keep losing my matches even on easy like what the lol

I bought NFS Heat when I saw the trailer for Unbound. A little drift is better driving than all grip, at least for me. And I use that dynamic camera, so the apex of the turn is centered on-screen. Turning the engine works, but you lose the minimap. Parts are big tuning, on the fly drift/grip settings are fine tuning. The game embodies the NFS genre well ... finally. And don't go out at night with cash, the city is filled with bandits.

Tip: At night, while you're Heat 0, you can still do certain things as if it was day. Namely:
* You can fast travel.
* Cops will ignore your actions unless you annoy them enough (just like in Day)
* You can use Gas Stations as much as you like and they won't lock out.

In addition, you can get in Daytime Police chases by ramming/honking at police cars. There's even different voicelines for daytime chases compared to nighttime. However, there are no rewards for it.

The rubber banding of the cops in this game makes you feel that you're super and modified car is garbage just like the fucking game.

Also took some practice but I drift at night but still working on drifting at heat level 5

the cops cannot go over 200 mph so if you cant lose them, try driving down the highway as fast as you can until you escape
