Zazzle has artists as makers, your art is uploaded and can be either ordered as prints in canvas or various papers, or even on merch like mugs, totes, clothing. I think the joining is actually free, and I don’t know what the compensation is actually. Just an option to explore?

What I want is for me to sit home and paint whatever, and have someone else sell my work, haha! That would be an introvert's dream, now, wouldn't it. Anybody have good ideas on how to thin out my paintings when they start piling up?

Thanks for this. I've been curious as I have so many painted canvasses I just ended up giving them to family and friends!

School never touches these subjects... Insane!!! We need more artists sharing their experience when it comes to selling art. Great job Katie

I have questions. When you became an artist, did you have to have a business license or permit to sell or resale license? Did you need to register your business as an artist? I am trying to be an artist and sell my work but before I do, I don't know all business wise. Or can I just sell my artwork to people that are interested in my work?

Considering the costs of supplies and shipping, is there a percentage of that amount you add to the price of your art work? Your videos are fantastic

Katie! Let me say that I was browsing different videos of people who have their online shops giving tips and teaching about selling handmade products , but honestly you are the only one in my opinion who I feel really comfortable listening to, learning easily from your videos and love your art as well. So! Let me send my big THANKS to you XOXO

thank you so much... you are so lovely. I hope your little family is doing very well. I have begun to paint again since August of 2018 when I painted a large 48" x 36" for my son's 18th birthday. I made a painting of his favorite summer place in Sonoma California near the Russian River. I had never seen him freak out so much. I had not painted in 20 years. He did not know I had once painted. I have a BA in Photography, and Graphic Arts. I have 2 minors in Fine Art and Interior Design. But since I had him, Interior Design is what I have done for 20 years. He begged me to paint from now on and retire from working so hard and having issues with safety during this Corona Virus era. You have been very inspiring. I appreciate all your work and your honesty. I am now going to paint full time.... or the best of what can be considered full time. lol. 80% perspiration and 20% inspiration! My question is regarding originals vs prints. What is the ratio of your sales of one vs the other? What to look for and whom to use to make your prints? Also, keeping your own rights and protecting your original artwork when using photography on the internet, when printing prints, when selling originals etc. Can you elaborate or make a video when possible about the subject? I am currently painting with acrylics, mostly landscapes, some portraits of our son (he is so handsome...lol... he will kill me!), to allow for some technique testing. I need to get out of my head and plan for my next 20 years. I don't want to retire. What for? So creating another business it is! I have always been quite successful with my creativity... but this time it feels more raw... more of my soul and emotions are flowing. I know you understand. Anyway, if you can, you may reply or do whatever makes you comfortable regarding these subjects. I admire all of your work and what makes you lovely is your soul and human essence. Thank you and always take care of you and your family before you take care of others such as your followers. When mama is happy we all are happy. Blessings to you.... and hello from Sunny California.... well, as soon as all the fires die down... hoping for clear skies. Stay safe.
Rose Aurora.
