It's pretty wild that within 3 years they have bad enough issues they do this....
Old controllers used to last years and years with me... in fact, until the ps3, batteries were the only reason and it was 1 controller... then it was niece sucking chewing the rubber on the analog sticks, but i took off the rubber and it still worked.

I just bought the ps5, i hope these last a long time.. $73+t usd isn't cheap

The Edge is one of the most overpriced controllers in existence. Those replacement thumbsticks cost like $25. It is actually cheaper to buy a new controller every year than buying a Dualsense Edge.

you can go to a repair shop and replace analog sticks for 4$ in Middle East

Do You also have problem with EDGE ? For the second time I made a claim about a broken right pedal . Something break inside . More less 3months of use in COD. I thought that I will have a break for drifting but pedals are now a problem... I'm not happy.

Seems like a scam. My old ps4 wasn't hard to take apart and clean. Took about 15 mins and zero dollars. The ps5 controller seems easier but is just a way for them to get another $20 from everyone every time you get stick drift. Planned failure maybe?

Why would someone replace the entire dualense for drift? changing the potentiometers is not hard, or in case you lack the tools or skills, is not expensive either.

To me, it appears like a gimmic, that the components do not last long, and they know it...

Yep because playstation makes junk remotes for cheap and make sure the life expectancy on the remotes are short so u keep buying more and more i miss old game remotes so much they built it for u to literally use them forever so u never had to replace. It would be nice if yk they didnt make a problem and make the solution for profit. Fuck sony

That's crazy.. I just had a realization watching this that both sticks are 40 dollars. I guess I didn't think about it til you broke it down like that but I've been contemplating getting the edge and that still seems crazy. $30 less than an entire brand new controller!?
