I was feeling down in a shopping mall, when suddenly this song was played. It lifted my spirits so much I could have danced all the way home.

Shown in the 1970s on television over Christmas with families singing along to the many songs.

Great scene and great song on the boat. Features Danny Kaye as Hans and Joseph Walsh as Peter. Joseph Walsh is still alive. The singing boatman/chimney sweep is Ray Linn Jr., who according to his IMDB bio, sang bass in a quartet, sang as one the seven dwarfs in Snow White, and was a Hollywood musician.

I know now where they got the idea of street sellers in Oliver.

Delightful clip from a delightful old movie. The actual city of Copenhagen in Denmark should use this song as a promotion, encouraging tourists to visit!

My daughter is on her way to Copenhagen - I said have a wonderful time . . That got me singing. I then wondered where I knew the song from which brought me here. As a child I watched this film many times ❤
